Looking to order some Amsoil and cant decide between the "signature series" 0W-30, SAE 5W-30, or XL 5W-30. Any thoughts on what's the best for the my truck??

I changed mine with amsoil at 5000 miles and used the 0w-30. For our trucks that is what Amsoil recommends. I used their oil filter as well. I have never used amsoil before but used it as a recommendation from my brother in law. It is a little more $$$ that mobil1 but I think it is worth it.

I use the 5W-30 (as per manufacturer recommendation). Once my warranty runs out, I'll probably go with their 0W-20. I also use their Ea filter.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I ran the signature in my 98 3rz with a WIX filter. Change interval was 25k.

This looks like the filter I got. It only shows one on their site. I remember there weren't any options besides this one, so I just went with it...
I can look tonight, but I am pretty sure the Mann-Filter is correct.

They make great stuff, but IMO overpriced for what other quality synthetics are out there these days. The filters are top notch, but over the counter are just as good. PureOne, WIX, K&N, etc. NO FRAM!

^ I find that really hard to believe. How many filters did you swap out?

Thought you had to change at least that many filters, especially on a turbo engine. Did you ever do any analysis on the oil after all that mileage? I personally would never go over 10k on any vehicle regardless the oil filter changes. Preventative = less headache later IMO! ;)

Non-tubro. No I didn't. I didn't know of the analysis until after the truck was bought back. I would have like to though. I have almost 10k on Mobil 1 in the tundy now with a blackstone kit waiting at the ready.

I thought it was a turbo...sorry. 10k on a Tundra...damn...what engine size? And what filter are you running?

With the V6 I would run 0w30, with the 4 cyl, 0w20. JMO.

I use K&N or Mobil 1 oil filters. They filter down to 10 microns and cost about 10 bucks. I don't know enough about Amsoil filters to give an honest opinion, but I hear they are very good too. OEM filters come highly recommended on this forum also.

I'm on my second round of 5w-30. I use the Amsoil Ea filters. Here's my oil analysis from when I changed it a little while back. Around the same time as the oil change, I changed from a K&N oiled drop in filter to an AFE Pro Dry-S. That should keep the silica levels down next time.
