what length? should I try for something like 16 or go for a 20ft one? I have almost 0 knowledge when it comes to trailers

 

16' if you're towing with the Taco. Need to keep weight to a minimum.

Yes, stick with single axles brakes as well. Allows for steering in the event of full lock up.

lol, uhm well, its an entire transmission and transfer case BUT the only things that I NEED are the base plates and shifter sticks for the trans and tcase...so not THAT big, but not very small either

what I have now, as you can see im missing that bases and shifters


this is the trans I was looking at, has no reverse, but has the sticks and bases that I need, plus, IF the trans I have right now is a G52, then id have a 2nd Tcase if I wanted a dual case setup for the 80. IF this was to happen, the shifters and bases could be shipped and I can pick the rest of that trans up at Citrus and bring it home

 

When is the next citrus thing. Where in Orlando is this perp

if he still has it (im pretty sure he does) he's in Winter Springs, FL and the next Citrus thing is beginning of Feb iirc

honestly though....I think id rather just spend the extra money and get a brand new one knowing that there wont be any issue to worry about in the beginning

True or a good used one that's like new & possibly has tie down straps or possibly a winch. You know in case you break the 80 you can pull it back onto the trailer.

Hell, if you're shopping for another trans, look for a W56. That's what everyone with Gxx trans upgrade to.

 

Well I saw one on ebay for $500 but I'm not looking to spend THAT much on a trans right now. That G52 trans I'm lookin at is only $100 and comes with everything, bellhousing, trans, tcase, both bases and shifters. So that's really the main reason I was looking at getting that one then I can sell the L43 or just junk it and then I have a spare trans

 

@Alfuh if nothing is done by the first weekend of Dec, I can pick it up for you. Ill be down there then and can tote it back.
