It's a really nice truck with low miles and only one owner. It comes with the typical 1 year / 12,000 mile warrant and the 7 year / 100,000 mile warrant and perhaps the 3 year 36 month warranty.

    It's listed at $32,995.

I have never bought a truck this new from a reputable dealer. Does anyone have any idea what kind of margin I might have to work with. Maybe offer them $31,000?

Any help, thoughts or comments would be helpful.

    Thank you in advance.

Price seems a little high to me given its used, though the tacoma holds its value well. Never hurts to offer lower and see where it goes from there. I paid $31,500 for mine brand new. TRD sport 4wd dclb auto

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) puts the fair dealer price for this at $29,344. That's what I'd offer and be prepared to walk if they can't meet that.

Moondeath, thanks for you input. I told my sales guy I could get a brand new one for less than this used one. It is a special one. I've never seen the front grill that actually says "tacoma" across the front. I went to the toyota site and built a 2016 with a manual transmission and it came to $33,000 msp. I'm certain I could get a brand new one for $31,000. Sales guy says the used one comes with the additional mileage warranty and a new one only comes with 60,000 mile warranty. It sounded like crap.

I hate dealing with these clowns. They like to wear you down and walk back and forth chatting with all their co-workers in the back while you wiggle. If I decide to make them an offer, I'm going to write down my number on a card with my phone number and then tell them if they can do it for that price, call me, then walk away. I don't have four hours for them to circle jerk while I sit and drink their free coffee.

Mountainwolf, thank you for your input. That is great information you provided. That is the number I will write down with my phone number and then walk away. If they can do it, we'll have a deal. If not, well, there are more fish in the sea.

    Thank you again.

That front grill is what they put on the TRD Pro, that's why it looks different. I'm pretty sure though that the Pro didn't come in the color MGM, so the previous owner probably bought it and put it on.

The 2016 is the 3rd Gen tacoma, which is a more expensive truck. You can't order a 2nd Gen anymore, you would have to find one sitting on a dealers lot.

That's what I did on my new 15. If the truck doesn't move by the end if the month I bet you can get it for your number. They always work harder for you at the end of the month. Oh yeah don't sign shit either until the manager writes it down.

I like the looks of the grill but it's not work an extra $3000 in sticker price. Honestly, I really prefer to drive a manual transmission. If we can work out a deal, I may accept an automatic.

I just really dread working with salesman. They are so slick and phony.

I'm pretty sure I can order a 2016 brand new with a manual tranny for about the same price in black, which is the color I prefer.

bigfoote13, thanks for your input. I hate this process. I'm afraid while I'm test driving it and they are checking out my BMW for trade in they'll "lose" my key while they try and talk me into it. I've heard that is one of their tactics to keep you around. Oh, heck, we can't find your key. I'm going to bring a second one and tell them if they don't give it back, I'm leaving and filing a police report.

You may want to pass and get a 2016? I think for the same price, or even a little extra, the 2016 has a lot more to offer.

You could probably get a 2016 for close to the same price, but it's a different generation truck. You may already know that, just throwing in the info. This is the new truck.

yeah. The new 2016 has a much boxier looking front end which i don't find as pleasing. It also has a dash board console that looks cheap with lots of plastic. The black ones come with a sick looking orange plastic piece but you can get it in gray.

Heck, I may just drop half the price in an old 2008 trd and have some fun with it.

I literally drive about 1 mile round trip to work each day. The wife says we can afford a 2016 but can't really justify paying six years for something I will drive 5 miles per week.

Maybe there is another vehicle that will better suit your needs. The Tacoma is a lot of money for something you won't work and play with.

I know others have already said this, but I'll second it - buy a new one for that price.

With the price different b/w a brand new '15 and a used '15, to me it just makes financial sense to go w/ the new one.

Just my two cents! Let us know what you end up doing!

Paid $29,900 for my dcsb 4x4 sport in September. Would definitely offer less for a used access cab.
