Where are your pods mounted to the frame? One thing I'd say about pods is they kinda obstruct view. I had some there and didn't like them. That's why I'm switching to SR-Qs. And the lights I had were fucking awful. Don't buy Avec lights. They are fine bed lights now but they suck to provide any benefit over the headlights.

Yeah my Pods are cheap Chinese ones that don't throw light very far, so perfect as rock lights. I found 2 pre drilled holes in the frame that fit the bolt perfectly, basically right where I step into the truck.

Oh nice. I was wondering if you worried about them hitting and breaking off.

I think Chinese bars are fine at throwing light. There is just something about the quality of the pods...

Yeah city driving sucks, I hardly ever drive my truck in the city (why I got a smaller car) but the few times I have coming back from Tahuya I think it was about 13mpg

I could care less about them honestly haha I have so many.

See im opposite.. I hated my 42" bar I had above my roof since it didn't focus the light. As long as I was in the forest and it had trees to reflect off of it was great, but take it to an open field and it was completely useless.

Maybe I've just been lucky. I like my bar in my bumper. It's made in the US from imported parts. I'm getting some rigid duallies to throw in my fog light location and some flush mount SR Qs for my backup lights in my bumper. I'll see the difference once those come in to play.

It could but the sound is so consistent I feel like it would change with stuff moving around in there. But it's possible

Edit: I should also check and make sure nothing is under the passenger seat..

Yea you're silver streak and I'm silver sky :( it is pretty noticeable difference.

Love the look of ditch lights but its a place I worry about branches and shit catching. The Rigid pods are supposed to be really strong but I don't know about a generic brand that costs only 25$

Out here there is a growing trend of stealing lightbars. Even with Rigid security bolts I still think a thief could get them.

So spend 200$ on a set of Rigids or 25$ on a generic is the question. I wouldn't feel horrible about losing a 25$ light but I'd be pissed about 200$.

You could always take them off when around town. It's just one bolt and a simple connector so wouldn't be too bad.

Though with my 20" bar and dualies (both rigid) I've been happy with the light output. Only other place I want lights is more as rock lights which would be for camping so I can see at night

I already have plenty of Chinese lights. My first set of 4, 2 had moisture in them so the company sent me 4 new ones since the style changed. I just kept them and resealed so now I have 8 haha I wouldn't care very much if someone stole them.

There is a guy on here that supposedly can get amazing deals on rigid until the end of the year.. I messaged him last night about an E series 20" so we'll see

Just the ditch lights?, sure give me a sec...c7ebbc6737b37c7fbf2e18c4edd0ba86_8cabdac3718ab95ce1e11addde64d6405360de07.jpg878252551c6d44f434d6bef46ec4893f_e067b177094ecee4715ad880cae5967734681573.jpg

Both are flood. I use them to fill in the sides of my SR. Worth it just for spotting suicidal white tail this time of year.
