yeah, buying a 'special' Toyota sucks
I'm not too happy with the price but WE are happy with the wait time and knowing it will show up soon. specs and pricing is above

I'll be jealous when you are driving your truck and I'm still waiting, waiting, waiting...

Glad to (try to) help. Too bad the Sunnyvale thing didn't work out, but it was an adventure.

Note to others: The salesperson at Sunnyvale has made it very clear that the deal I got was not available anymore. I think he felt bad about Z50king's situation (Recap: I was told other people could have the deal, Z50king called but the GM had shut down the deal already) so he got the GM to make an exception for Z50king.

Good luck everyone. This thread was very helpful to me, let's keep helping each other out. Information is power.

Most credit unions will allow you to refinance the car as a new car as long as it has under 5,000 to 7000 miles on it and it is at least 2 to 3 years recent model year (2014, 2015, or 2016). No time limit and no penalty in APR.

I totally agree with you and your wife, I have wasted so much time trying to find the right deal. If you figure out how many hours of research you have done over the weeks, it kinda opens your eyes how much time was a waste. I could of been doing something else and being productive. That being said, the best I could do up in Norcal was 500 under MRSP and yes there were two dealers willing to sell me a vehicle off their lot. But, this was for either an SR5 Access cab 2wd or a TRD Sport 2wd, in white, MGM or silver. I did promise my wife I would not purchase anything till next year, hopefully it will be in my favor then!

Have fun with your new toy!

We have a 2012 Honda Civic with 20k miles. That doens't fit those requirements but they still gave us the refinance. The Tacoma we are buying is getting 1.42%, so it's a little less.

We, mostly I, had our/my mind set on a 7568 in white. We/I would not buy a short bed for a 2 wheel drive. This is a truck and this is America! haha

I still can't believe this dealership was allocated two 7568s at the same time.

Finance with dealer to get the best deal and rebates then after they make their profit whether it's 3 weeks or 3 months refinance with your bank. Sometimes they don't get their pay if you refinance too early just ask them once you've wrapped up the deal so you know how long you have to keep it with them ...it would be helping them out.

I'm glad you were able to find the truck you want and the hunt is over.

The wife and I are getting to the point where i might just drop the 38k for the 7542. That's without TTL so i might be paying 40k for a truck so that's kinda deterring me. No dealers are getting Barcelona Red for some reason and this is the first one the dealer has found. decisions decisions

For a Sport? Does it have FP tech package or something? I hope so. We would not have ordered for 500 under MSRP. We only plan to buy this one because it's arriving soon

There are Sports all over down here. We see them at almost every dealership. It's usually hard to get a deal when they trade, but the high end Sports don't seem too popular around here. You should be good

The sport isn't the problem. Getting them in Barcelona Red is though. I really don't want to settle for another color. If I'm gonna spend this much money I want it in red

By the time it comes in and you spend all of the effort searching, maybe easier to negotiate via email/phone, put deposit down and then take a cheap one way flight to the dealer, get what you want and road trip back home. Just make sure you have all of the details nailed down before making the trip. There's a sales manager here doing great things for customers at Riverview Toyota in Mesa AZ. Maybe he can find something for you. I'd really suggest giving him a call. He can also help you find what you're looking for in the western region. Plus by then you'll avoid getting ripped off for CA pricing.

I have thought the same but with the price this dealer is giving me its actually around 1k over invoice. By the time i find one in another state and the cost it'll take me out there might as well pay CA prices.

1000 over invoice is around 1000 under MSRP. That's one of the things that made us take the 500 under. It was only 800 dollars more after taxes from the 750 over we were offered.

Do you think I got a good deal for an allocated 7568? Would you give this deal to TW members?

I just realized your name is Han Solo. Lol is that your real name

Just got home with a TRD OFF ROAD 4x4 with Premium & Tech package with JBL, Tonneau cover, Tow package. Got a few dollars off equal to about a Tonneau cover.

Had a less optioned on order for late December delivery, but someone pulled out of a deal and got a call to come and check out the truck if interested

Pics tomorrow for my five minutes of fame.

    Celebratory music!!

Good work. So about 600 off msrp? What dealership??

I can only imagine the OTD price for a JBL OR... 43K??

Sorry, I original made this a downer like I always do when it comes to money... I learned my lesson a few years ago when a student got into a great college and the first thing I said was "that's gonna be expensive...." I'll never do that again
