Beadlocks have like what appears to be a Powdercoat on it, not shiny paint. One of my buddies Nick on here lives in Rhode Island runs them year round. I want to run the nice aggressive Cooper ST/MAXX tires for the winter. Thoughts? Should I take the rings off now and then to make sure no build up of salt ans such is behind them?

I run those wheels all year. With the ring still on.For just dd street driving they are fine. When I go back in the woods to do some snow wheeling the tend to collect the snow pretty good and I have to clean them out once I hit higher speeds again.

Nope. Took the rings off once to see how it looked and then put them back on. Never touched the screws again.

If you are worried about snow getting in there I have my long handled snow brush that I clean my truck off with that fits in there pretty well. Thats what I use.

Once I'm done here I'll take the other wheels out of my truck, tape up the box and go to UPS and get a quote

    nothing cool
Ran mine for 4 years now through Kansas rain, snow, and salt roads. Never had a problem. Snow can get packed in the ring wheel part. But I've never had a balancing problem.
