I know that but does that extra +1.5 put more pressure on stock components of the truck that a +2 does not? I am pretty new to a lot of this.

Not by any noticeable amount. Just make sure you strengthen the alignment cam tabs and add uca double shear/coil bucket gussets and you will be fine for moderate use.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. They look pretty identical to me, and Camburg has had them listed for years but you are correct that theres only so much separation that can be had between products especially when you choose to post your exact product specs online, a little bulky IMO for a mild application but bigger builds I do like the thought but I will stick with my small tabs which have yet to fail me. I do like the smaller ones individual ones that camburg does and the bolt on concept is pretty rad. Both cool products

+2 is kind of a waste IMHO, pretty much a glorified MT setup. Maintenance between the 2 is going to be the same and you will in reality keep a little smaller angle on your CV's with the wider kit. Unless you plan on sticking to 33s and cutting your OEM fenders on a +2 kit I would go 3.5". The common notion that you're going to fit on more trails with a +2 kit is silly, if you cant fit with a 3.5 over kit you're likely not going to fit at all and the added benefits of the additional wheel travel far outweigh the cons of the track width. Currently I'm 86" wide outside of tire to outside of tire and I have yet to find anywhere I wont fit that a stock width truck would.

Thanks that helps a lot. Guess if I'm gonna do it I might as well do it right the first time.

IMO if your going to do it, do it! the 2 inch kit is only suited for people that dont want to be wider, or people that crawl and want to be narrow for crawling...

    Yes
+2 you can get away without glass fenders, +3.5 you need glass

its really only for people that dont want to run glass or FJs that can fit a 35 with stock fenders. the additional wheel travel of a 3.5 over kit would actually make the wider kit more suited for crawling since you're going to be keeping tires in contact with the ground longer

Gotcha. I run a 3.5 kit and i pretty much only crawl my truck. it definitely does great.
ive just heard of people doing a 2 inch kit because they didnt want the extra width for trails they were doing... definitely have heard people keeping it to the 2 inch as well to not need fiberglass as well!
never really agreed with it because 3 inches wont make a difference really... IMO

I don't know about the duck part, but I do agree that the small individual ones that camburg makes are nice, especially if you are running long reservoirs or want to use them to mount other things.

but when it comes to tabs and brackets everyone is guilty of making "copies or very similar" parts.
    tab.jpg
how many companies make this tab.. so many...

again, its just an alternative option for guys to mount their reservoirs. if you like them you can use dirt kings, camburgs, or who ever else makes something similar. what ever floats your boat.

There are quite a few trails in my area that 3.5'' kit wouldn't fit but a 2'' would, that didn't stop me selling my 2'' kit to get a 3.5'' though haha

3.5 is too wide in some places over here. Wedged in on the other side of the truck with more trees.

A 3.5 over kit is about the same width as a typical Dana 60....just sayin

I'm the same width as my friends truck sitting on one tons, the width debate is kind of ridicoulus

in reality, thats probably more of a wheel base issue than track width. our trucks are pretty long, making them difficult to pivot in tight spaces if you dont know how to use your sliders to cheat it.

With all due respect to anyone that has had an issue but if 3" of additional track width is keeping you from running a trail you probably need more seat time on some easier trails. just my 2 cents.
