Haha maybe he thought the spoiler would serve as some flotation device or maybe even help him navigate through it, I mean for 2,000,000 you would think it has some 007 capabilities

I can only imagine the carbon fiber suspension & bottom of car destruction that occurred going over those granite boulders to even get to the water & then the wrecker probably drug it back over them to get car out of water. Gotta be fubar'd underneath.

The car is worth much more than 2 mil, They took a huge loss when selling each car. The spoiler is up and that only happens in certain situations, one is for cooling (not sure how) and at I think around 140 it goes up, I would have to re-watch the top gear episodes on the darn thing. Anyway what an idiot, I mean shiit happens, but a pelican...thats the best story you could come up with was a pelican....and you leave the engine running!!!oh why!

I thought the spoiler was always up until you take out the special key and switch some stuff. Then it goes down and the car drops some to make it "slippery".

I can't beleive the dumbass left it running under water for 15 min... During the rebuild he should have a snorkel installed and if he leaves the spoiler down he could use it as a rudder. another example of someone with entirely too much $$!!

The car was insured through Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance, according to the La Marque Police report. An insurance sales agent with the Grundy Agency, the company that underwrites for Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance, said that it would cost around $8,000 yearly to insure a 2006 Bugatti Veyron. "There's no coverage limit but typically the vehicle would be insured for the value," Grundy Agency Lauren Gindele said. "Also, policies are paid yearly and not monthly."

    Fromt the article:

Andy House, 34, was driving along an Interstate 45 feeder road around 3 p.m. Wednesday when he lost control of the 2006 Bugatti Veyron EB, according to police records. The car came to rest in three feet of water, but House escaped uninjured. He was in the area to look at real estate, police said

Unless that water is tidal, those wheels must be 36" ers if the water is 3' deep ;)

    FAIL

Saying you got distracted by a bird is the most retarded thing to say. Thats what you say when you have no other excuse besides 1) You were driving too fast and you crashed or 2) On the cell phone.
