Mash ton full, had mash temp within half a degree of perfect so that's all good, mash a bit too watery but I'll live. Now to wait 2 hours..

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    I want to brew again.

My honey ipa came out a little cloudy :pout:

    I'll probably make it again.

And I think I have to brew for another wedding.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cloudy. It's just protein. On the plus side, it slightly improves "mouthfeel" (stupid name I know!)

Hope I'm not boring people with updates, I'm just so excited to be brewing again and so much of the process is sitting around waiting. Feel free to tell me to shutup if this gets old lol!

Here's a pic of the mash during the most recent stir:

Weighed out hops, prepping for transfer from mash tun to boiler.

Using Northern Brewer, Fuggles, and East Kent Goldings. This house smells fantastic.

Here's the sparge coming through from the tun to the kettle, getting close to the top:

Once we hit a rolling boil, in went the bittering hops. Saved an oz of the Goldings to go in at the end for flavour/aroma!

It's really good. The raspberry is very obvious and nice and tart.

Now to wait for yummy beer!

Ended up with a nice looking wort, somewhat dark from addition of roasted barley, the rest was pale malt (maris otter.) Gravity before pitch was 1049.2 Expecting an abv in the ballpark of 5.5 to 5.8
