This isn't Viginia. California's registration stickers are where they should be, on the rear license plate. California does not inspect vehicles. A new vehicle just has to pass a smog inspection at year six and every two years after that.

Luckily we don't have inspection like many other states. The only thing we need to do is smog once every two years and we pay our registration/tags online without any inspections.

    *Nutflush beat me to it.

    This is a real question. I guess that's a fault of being a semi-troll...

Do we need to lock the tailgate on like the 2nd gen mods so it doesn't get stolen? I'm guessing these cost more with the lock and camera.

If I leave the gate down, is it easy to steal?

    *sigh*
You must be buying $300+ tint rolls that you were charged so much, which is what I hinted towards by asking what type of film.
Never heard of Wincos; I'm ignorant like that (or simply don't care... tints are something that are 80% done for looks), hence the cheap tints

I would disagree with the statement that 80% of tint is something done for looks. Minimizing sun glare, reduction in cabin temperature and privacy is the main reasons for anyone putting on tint.

This!! I live on the surface of the sun(aka, Phoenix AZ) and fully tinting your ride here is a MUST! Of course the added benefit of it looking nice is there too, but in this case it is certainly function over form.

I'll agree that $400 is pretty expensive. My guy used ceramic tint and charged me 125$ out the door for all windows(not windshield) and the sunroof. As an added side note, I am running limo on all back windows and doors, and 20% on the front doors which is 100% legal in AZ. Limo on the sunroof too

That's what I had on my Lexus IS and what I put on my wife's Honda CR-V (branded Llumar) and I paid $120 for each vehicle... all which included the rear windshield, rear windows, and sunroof at 20% and the two front at 35%.

Yeah I think anywhere south of $200 would be considered reasonable, however most places I know of are going to do it in the $120 to $175 range..

I honestly don't know, the dealer put it on before I bought the truck, I'm sure they kept it legal for Arizona.
