Update-Got a call this morning. Arrived very early somehow. They are delivering now.

 

I have a temporary VIN but they showed us Dealer Daily and it only has build date of December 16th on it. I'd like to ask in a week or two

Chris, does the Dealer Daily show details about the truck in question (e.g., Tonneau vs. no Tonneau)? I've been searching for a Limited without a cover and have run into some challenges. Dealer first thought he could get one with a cover and remove it once it arrived at his lot/shop without me knowing it. When that didn't work, he tried to talk me into taking it. Didn't want it. Anyway, he found another one that's apparently on the way. But I'd love to have a 3rd party's eye on the vehicle's details to confirm everything's good. You've been very generous with your time. Thanks.

If the dealer will give you a VIN on what he says is coming, you can see the details of that truck on Toyota's site. You can also search for a very specific truck with very specific options through toyota's site.

When am I supposed to receive a VIN? Ordered 11/7 with a supposed build date of 11/26, dealer never gave me any sort of VIN.

 

He should have a mock vin for you at least! The one that holds its place in line to be built

Hey man-i meant more that i've searched for trucks with very specific options, or lack thereof, on the site. I don't know anywhere to be able to search by vin. Sorry for the misunderstanding-

 

Dealer Daily is the only way to search a VIN. You need to contact your dealer to have them tell you where it is in the pipeline
