What are the technical differences between the Sport 4x4 and the Off road packages? What real impact does it have off road (no boulder climbing) for hunting, traveling into the back country use? Thanks
Is this the right forum-I am new?

Offroad has locker and ATRAC ( depending on year ) and the double cab is only available with a wheelbarrow for a bed

Sport doesn't have the locker and the double cab is available with the standard Tacoma 6' bed ( same size as the reg cab and access cab )

maybe... if you will encounter any mud/deep snow, the locker will be very very nice option. I'd say that if you need 4 door and absolutely positively need long 6' bed, go with Sport (the only option). If you need 4 door and can live with 5' bed, Offload is win win. If you are looking for 2 door or access cab, Offload is win win as well since you get 6' bed with that config. Sport can be retrofitted with the rear locker as well, around $2k all set and done
