    Im looking for an all around pistol. Something that does well in everything from size, magazine size, accuracy, how it feels and price. I also shot the xdm 9mm and shield. Xdm is still nice but there is a difference in the recoil. The glocks recoil I feel is better. The shield was hard for me too aim and shoot. It didn't feel comfortable in my hand either cuz of how thin it was.

    It was my first handgun when I turned 21. It's alright. Sturdy/rugged it's good if you're looking for something simple. I however won't buy any more glocks after getting a Kimber, I've been completely spoiled by it.

    well the shield isn't really comparable to the glock or the XDm since it isn't a full size. the shield is a compact, single stack sidearm more geared towards daily concealed carry as opposed to a more standard size pistol. if you want a smith and Wesson to compare to the glock and springfield go shoot and M&P 4.25" barrel and then go from there

    I wear them all the time at work and I have a beard , I passed the fit test without issue, though I wear them to stop Tuberculosis inhalation not sure if you do it for a different reason

    Nope, TB is the main reason. I tested a few months ago clean shaven. So I have to be clean shaven every day I go to work.

    Well that's easy then go to occupational health and retest with the scruff!! Scruff is great!!

    I mean hell I worked in pulmonology and lots of my fellow providers had beards. I'm surprised they are that strict about it

    Testing is with our HR or supervisor. My supervisor isn't a fan, calls beards unprofessional, so I doubt I can get him to retest me.

    While I'm sure the kimber is nice, I don't have that sort of cash flow for my first gun. Haha.

    The reason I tired and compared the shield to the glock and xdm was to see if I would like the feel of the single stack and the size. With it being uncomfortable immediately, I decided I don't want that as my first pistol. Later down the road when I have more time with pistols I might consider it as a full time conceased carry, but right now it isn't what I want for the uses I'm looking for.

    I shot the glock 19 yesterday at shooters world. It feels pretty good, thanks though bud! Is the glock 26 the full size 9mm?

    Shit handle bars aren't unprofessional but a nice beard is?? What a DB! Handle bars are not cool. Don't like them. Never have. I always think dudes with handle bars should somehow be in assess chaps which are just weird even to me.
