Could always use sliders, pelican cases, by those are all way too expensive. Warn epic 3/4 D rings, rock lights or anything like that is way more reasonable. It's whatever y'all want I'm just doing this because it's fun... Thanks guys

As in asking someone you know is a friend or associate of theirs for suggestions? Sure, but be prepared for the possibility of losing the element of surprise of you tell that person what you are sending.

I'm excited to be taking part in this event! It's my first time... be gentle.

I don't really know what is acceptable to ask for, so I'll give some direction perhaps!

Recovery gear is something I'm always collecting!

    Rock lights?

I need a way to mount my cb's whip antenna to my bed rack! Universal mounting bracket?

Red LED lights to replace the two map lights in the cab and a regular white LED for the overhead would be sweet!

Any welding DIY mods are welcome too! I weld for a living! (BAMF rear shock relocate?) haha, that's a little much to ask for though...

THANK YOU in advance! This whole thing has got me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!

i've PM'd multiple members about my guy to ensure he did or did not purchase something. Normally I say

"Hey, I know this might sound weird but I am participating in an event this year called TacomaWorld Secret Santa. With that being said, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could help me out, did XXX buy this? or do you know if XXX has this/needs this/likes this?
As I said it is a secret santa so I would appreciate you being discrete as to not spoil the surprise. Thank you in advance"

customize as you see fit. I don't hit all of the marks above when I do it, but I probably should.

Have you tried to look them up on Facebook? I found out a few things by scrolling through their posts and photos on FACEBOOK that I never would have found on TW.

Hey guys & gals, I hope you are enjoying this years event so far! If you haven't checked out the What Did Santa Bring 2015 thread, I encourage you to view it. You might just get some ideas and you will definitely get into the spirit!!! A handful of members have already posted pictures of the gifts they have received. Now don't fret, remember the goal is to have them delivered before Christmas, we still have over a month to go!

While I have your attention and am writing a book, I wanted to give some pointers to those who are new, or maybe returning and are having a hard time this year.

    1. Be sure to search all of your participants posts. You can do this by going to their profile page and selecting the postings tab. You will see their most recent posts, but at the bottom there is a "find all content by (username)." Click this and you can see all of their posts, not just the ones in specified threads like this one.

With that you should be able to stalk without having to have a wishlist for every member.

    2. Use the search function if you find something about your participant but don't know what it is. There is so many threads on it, and if they are asking about it there is a thread for it.

    3. Check out the Buy/Sell/Trade and Shopping threads. You will find so many vendors and tacomaworld members selling odds and ends that are Toyota/Tacoma/TRD related. Decals, koozies, beer openers, key chains, it doesn't stop.

    4. Utilize the information you gather from the BS threads. If someone were to stalk @emelianenkov you could see that he talks to the New England group. Someone in that group probably knows him a bit better than you do and you may be able to ask them some questions about him. Maybe he is interested in getting a power drill this year and he hasn't mentioned it enough.

    5. If you are worried about customizing a gift to their vehicle, like decals, or @HomerTaco grill mesh, maybe BAMF (jlee's) fabrications, they will and have sold personalized vouchers for a dollar amount to your giftee. I don't have a 2nd gen but I know last year a product called flyzeyes (I think?) was very popular.

    6. Use outside tacomaworld resources. A lot of our members have social media, or use the same screen name on another forum. Once you find it, perform the same stalking procedures as above.

I hope this helps someone, if it can make any one's duties easier or a gift better then it was worth it.

I have a build thread, although I rarely am prepared enough to have potential mods listed in there, so here are some ideas/suggestions for my secret santa.

    1) I'm not a drinker (call me crazy)
    2) Anything related to outdoor recreation (camping, backpacking, hiking, hunting, mountain biking, you name it)
    3) I love fishing. Mainly trout and fly fishing but am getting into going after bass on occasion.
    4) Any type of recovery gear or tools for the truck will be well used. I could use a snatch block, some d-rings, or some soft shackles.
    5) I'll be happy with just about anything.
    6) Starting a patch collection on my headliner. Need to get one from American Adventurist, OutdoorX4, Mountain State Overland.

    To add to mine:

I'm getting into fab stuff, just bought a welder so any welding accessories or tools that would be helpful with fab work would be awesome.
All other tools are pimp shit too. (yes, pimp shit.)
A rich step father would be cool too, maybe he could help pay for college, or truck mods?
