Phil are you going down to Hollister? Ill finally get to meet the other white tacoma rolling around Benicia! I saw you the other night over by Southampton shopping center had waved but it was dark so didn't know if you saw me.

 

Yep, 7-8 weeks old or so, having a big cage set up in the garage with puppy pads on one side and his crate on the other with a heater set up outside the crate at night to keep him warm. Wife is on board with trying to let him out throughout the day whilst I'm at work. This is a good time for me to get him, i can bond with him at camping, then off for a couple says, then i work nights, so I can spend a couple hours before and after I sleep playing with him, then im off for a solid 4.

 

I'll be loaded up with at least a bushel or two of firewood. I learned long ago to not bring more than 2 when camping with a bunch of other people, because everyone brings 2 and then we have 400 pieces of wood that dont get burned lol!

I'm going to see him and potentially pick him up tomorrow at 1230. Hopefullt I'm done at Jerry's by then. It works out great because I already had to go to Oakland to go see Vin @SCSPerformance because of reasons. So I might have a puppy in the backseat when I'm there lol

 

I think you are screwed. Your pup will be bonding with your SO. You will be relegated to being just second dog in the pack.

Mine bonded with my GF at the time. Took three months just to catch up. Mine has me in the food/ball/bunk guy position abd the GF has been gone 5 years. When there is another woman in our presence he gravitates to her.

Your pup will be too tired to recognise you at the end of your day. Separation anxiety will also show too. Just a few hurdles in front of you. My last divorce, I didn't miss her, but I missed the dog, and got my own.
He'll wake up when something exciting happens.

 

Hah! I dont mind that at all, she always says she doesnt like dogs and was never on board with getting one, but every time theres a puppy around she loves it lol. If she turns into a dog lover, that just means I can get my own Boxer down the road. Also the reason im taking him camping and Ill be able to devote the next 2-3 weeks just bonding with him, so hopefully he'll still love me once he meets her lol

 

That's good dude. I had a similar situation when I got my pooch. Picked him up right after I graduated from college, dedicated about 3 weeks to just him, then started work. While I was at work, my mom and sister would watch him since they lived and worked within a few minutes of their house, so he bonded with them really strongly too. However, whenever I got home I immediately received all of his undivided attention and love for the rest of the day. Enjoy puppy time...it goes too fast

 

I know! I'm glad I'll be able to raise him and J together too! Hoping they bond growing up together! Thats the ultimate plan, as much as Id like to have a dog devoted to me, would rather see the kid happy and get my own dog down the road lol

 

Yeah that would be awesome. You know what they say, a boy and his dog lol

 

Hey so do we know how many people are going to mod day and how many to Hollister?

 

We never know the exact number. I will say people are more reliable up here than down south. But theres still a good percentage of no shows sometimes. Id say 10-20 trucks are going to each?

 

Best buds! The bond with all 3 of my boys is increadable. Only downfall is the attachment and how devistated my kids would be if something happen to him.

 

I'm in for the Mod day, out for Hollister, I have UCA bushings to do on Sunday. I have driven hard for 100k and now everything seems due

 

P.S. I'm not trying to prove shit to anyone, I prefer Glampin'. You can shit in the woods and wipe your ass with a leaf and not shower for 3 days. I'm going to just enjoy the outdoors and remember its still 2015.
