I wish I was as easily entertained as the simple minded mass of Toyota owners. I'll be right back, I have to go start a thread on what the perfect psi to run on my street tires and what tire shine best compliments my brand new tires that I just posted a thread about. And yes, there's hundreds of photos.

Sorry if I sound stupid, what do you get out of upgrading the cam tabs? Does it allow for more alignment?

It's a reinforcement because the soft thin factory sheet metal doesn't hold up and tabs get flattened out pretty easy.

Here's mine before Jeff fixed them up for me.

What Crom Said, the stockers are super weak and the upgrade will assure you never ruin or break your stock ones. I have seen techs ruin them during adjustment even...

If you need some let me know, I know a guy, lol.
Most of them get damaged DURING alignment adjustment as the tabs are weak and break when the cam bolts are turned since it uses that small sheetmetal folded edge to lever off of when its rotated.
The other ones get damaged from shearing the stock ones if your suspension takes a hard lateral hit in extreme circumstances.

And the stock Spindles are VERY weak on the Tacomas (All gens) this kit from TC is much stronger than the other gussets I usually install, however much more labor intensive as the spindle needs to be completely removed from the vehicle to get done properly, but its about as strong as you can get it without dropping coin on aftermarket spindles.

Jason, do you happen to have a jig that can be used to check whether a spindle is 100% straight?

Also, would you be able to do TC no sway bar spindle gusset with tie rod gusseting?

If your getting Maxtracs you dont need them, these are only to designed to improve the stock spindles. You might consider doing these INSTEAD of maxtracs, might save you some cash!

Unfortunately I dont have a jig to check for straightness, but the gusset kit I just posted is the same one you just mentioned however WITH a swaybar.
SO yes no problem I can do it, I dont think they are any different when using the kit that reinforces the ie rod as I could barely squeeze the sway bar in the one pictured and there was no cutout for the sway bar but I could be wrong!!

The cheaper non-tie rod gusseted type WERE dependant on with or without sway bar, didnt know the heavy duty ones mattered..

Sorry I should have been a little more clear. I will be looking at possibly upgrading the cam tabs when I get Maxtracs.

    Thanks.

I'm trying to plan ahead for my spindle gussets. With the no sway bar TC gussets, I can run my factory wheels, and if the welder adds the tie rod gusseting, they should be pretty strong.

Thats why i stopped posting in a couple of threads, like the what have you done to your truck today thread. I'd post something like my bumper and get nothing, very next post a guy would be like "i plastidiped my center caps" and the next 30 posts would be talking about how great they look and asking about the color. Just felt like most the people in there were lemmings.
