There are a bunch of threads on tool boxes. Like 10 different ones. Everyone hates each other's and to expensive and not thin enough. We had a bunch mounted AT THE GET TOGETHER. Lol just kidding.
It really all depends on your needs. Mine is the Toyota box. Not cheap. You can put stuff under it. Keyed on both ends so you can open it from one side. Attaches to the rail system. I agree with Noel to make sure it's water proof

My only mod was drilling and riveting the underside after the stitch welds let go.. But my box is usually filled with offroad recovery essentials.
EDIT: It's a lockable Delta box too
(The silly stickers have been removed from the box too...)

Another thing to keep in mind is that the low-profile boxes don't interfere as much with your visibility through the rear door. The bed rails on these trucks are close enough to the hieght of the cab window that a box can really damage your parking skills. I've been considering a low-profile box for a while so that I can get my rearward visibility back.

The downside of course is that you don't have as much storage space in a lo-pro.

Mine is in between per say and yes it does hinder my view of the bed. If I had a long bed then it would not be an issue. So I need to be a little carefull. If I don't have it I would have a 4 door with lots of junk in the back seat.

Maine muffinman it appears that you have maxtrax. I have tred recovery boards and I find they take up a lot of space. 2 stacked are 5" tall and 4 are 7.5" how thick are the maxtrax? They appear to stack better than the treds.
