Go to diamond city. The merchants are there all the time unless its night time. Easy to gain caps that way.

I usually just find a bed if I'm low on HP. That's not always the easiest thing to do though.

The crafted food works good , no rads and some of the " roast " objects provide pretty high HP

I use the blood packs but not the food. Isn't all food full of rads? I hate limiting my health with rad filled food in general. It's not like I'm plowing.through stimpacks, but if you find a sentry bot or something like that and you aren't in power armour good luck beating one without medx, a half dozen stimpacks, and a pile of bullets. Unless you have mini nuke ammo to spare I suppose. I'm not complaining, but in earlier games I just found more caps and got better prices on my stuff which lead to more stimpacks and no worries about stimpacks, ever.

Good to know. I waste enough time crafting though lol. Don't get me wrong, crating is sweet, but it's very time consuming.

Its easy , go to a cooking station , craft up all your food , now it goes with you as a cooked product so no rads and you only have to do it whenever you feel like it or need more food

Can you just use plants so that you always have a quick and easy supply or do you have to load up on meat when out on missions?

I originally thought the food crafting gave you the HP when you crafted it but realized you were just changing ingredients with Rads to a finished food product without Rads and you didn't get the HP gain until you ate it so I crafted all my food into cooked products

Is there any way in the game to make your own purified water?

    Ha, i dont usually.
Screw that. Too much weight to carry. Personally i like bloodpacks. 50hp and weigh 0.1lb and only like 25 caps.
    Hmm have not known that.

Can you build one at Sanctuary ? Seems like the standing water is all outside of the green crafting zone
