A couple of days ago my 2016 Tacoma 4x4 doublecab quit in the middle of the street. It eventually started after 4 or 5 mins and seemed to be "ok" except for the nagging check engine light, which eventually went out. Yesterday I drove it the 40 miles back to the dealership without any issues. They called this morning and said it was a fuel pressure issue and Toyota wanted to know how much gas was in the truck when the incident happened. Now I'm just waiting on a resolution, I've had two tacomas before this one and have never had any problems whatsoever, hopefully this is not a sign of things to come.

You hear lots of noises in this truck because the cabin is sealed like shit.

Hence why I'm dynamating the whole inside.

Most reviewers and owners feel the cabin is very quiet.

It's my 4th tacoma and each one before this I have run for 175k. Trust me it's not the most quiet out of them all.

It's my 3rd and I am just repeating what has been stated in many reviews and by many new owners. Your opinion is in minority, IMO.

Well, you should at least be glad they had an explanation of why the truck stopped. Hopefully they find the source soon.

Had a similar noise issue a couple weeks ago...would hear the noise when taking off from a stop and when coming to a stop. Finally figured out my tube side steps had partially filled with water (I had driven through heavy rain & some high water during a 1000 mile road trip). Pulled the plug on the end of the tube and water started streaming out, no more noises after that.

Sometimes you hear the gas in the tank moving.

Update - Picked it up this afternoon. The dealership could not replicate the problem and after running diagnostics and consulting with Toyota they think it was moisture in the gas that caused the problem. Hopefully that was the it and not something more serious.
