So getting back to the crafted food discussion , just looking at my INV > AID for HP bonuses and weight of some crafted food examples ~

Cooked Softshell Meat +85HP , Weight 0.5

Crispy Squirrel Bits +35HP , Weight 0.1

Deathclaw Steak +185HP , Weight 1

Mole Rat Chunks +50HP , Weight 0.5

Mutant Hound Chops +60HP , Weight 0.5

Mutt Chops +40HP , Weight 0.5

Radstag Stew +150HP , Weight 1

Roasted Mirelurk Meat +70HP , Weight 0.5

Squirrel on a Stick +45HP , Weight 0.1

Vegetable Soup +55HP , Weight 1

Yao Guai Ribs +165HP , Weight 1

 

Those 0.5 and up start adding up to a ton of weight. I carry a few nuka colas and then only things they weigh 0.1. That way i can maximize equipment carrying capacity. Also now have 3 full suits of power armor (1.5 are brotherhood of steel) and 1 full set (minus frame) of raider armor in my stash

 

Goddamnit no wonder, so I'm already lv 7 and this whole time I didn't understand the perk system so I've been ranking up my special this whole time without any perks.

I didn't know you could scroll down to see all the perks hahah.

Found a 3rd set of power armor tonight by the crashed copter on the highest tier of the highway next to the graygardens greenhouse and finally got a laser rifle and missle launcher from killing off 3 super mutants at the water treatment plant

 

If you add that whole list up its only 6.7 but 940 HP

 

Same. The developers should have made it more obvious that you could scroll down, especially on PC. The screen moves by dragging/pulling the mouse down. 100% of programs/applications in Windows use the mouse wheel to scroll down, but the mouse wheel zooms in and out on the perk level screen, which is pointless. Poor design in my opinion.

I ended up filling most of my S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes, not knowing there were many more perks below.

 

You only carry 1 of each though at a time? 2lbs of bloodpacks is 1000hp. Just seems easier to me

But i also almost have 50 stimpacks.

Also started building the castle like in the video.just ran out of concrete to finish building the wall. I might make my home base there now, but there is so little room to actually use within the walls.

 

i need to go looking for more sets of power armor....well the frame part i guess you call it. I only have the one you get more the first mission pretty much. But i have like 3 or 4 different pieces for ite (raider, t60, t-51?, t-41?)

 

Well yesterday I finally was able to get the provisioner perk so you can connect all your towns resources together. Made making things MUCH MUCH easier! Now I can dump my stuff anywhere and have it available in another town! pretty cool.

 

Been debating about getting that perk. I know i should, but i havent been building up much

 

I found some chameleon armour, now when I crouch I go invisible like the old Chinese Steath armour. Only you can't move when you do or it will stop working. Still pretty sweet.

 

glad i stumbled on this thread, first time playing the fallout series and im happy to admit im addicted to it already!

 

I have the local leader perk under Charisma. Is this the perk required to connect the towns?? I still cant see all of my goods from workbench to workbench.

I found a combat shotgun last night in an alley near Back Street Apparel. Thanks for the food post @OZ-T I cooked some veggie soup and a rad scorpion egg omelet. It helped a lot when I was in a pinch.

EDIT: So I have to create a supply line with a settler from each of my settlements to access my loot. Just having the perk doesn't enable you automatically. Is this correct?

 

Yes thats correct ^

 

Yeah you have to assign a spare settler to a trade route

 

Also something I discovered last night is you need to assign a settler to gaurd posts to make them count against your Defense score for a settlement
