    I need help guys.

I am looking at two different trucks
    2006 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner TRD Double cab V6 93k miles $17,000
Extended warranty option for $1800 48k miles or 48 months

    or

    2011 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner SR5 double cab V6 63k miles $22,200
Certified, so it comes with warranty.

Please give me your opinion and why.

I bought my '15 PreRunner brand new for about $23k last summer.

On both of those trucks, I'd recommend looking at their brand new 2015 counterparts - you might be surprised at how small the price difference is.

Really!? Double cab? The ones I am looking at are double cabs. My local dealer has 2015 double cabs for 30k+

Access cab here... But in early 2008 I bought my 06, with 20k on it.... TRD off-road prerunner. Flawless, certified, with obviously 16K of factory warranty left, plus 8yr 60K extended warranty for $20K

I've recently looked at many Toyota "certified" trucks. I'm not sold on the "certified" part. Toyota of Puyallup had one i looked at for instance. I did a walk around. Both back tail lamps had cracks and moisture in the lenses. It had a small dent and scratches on one side that hadn't been fixed or buffed out. Another truck at another Toyota lot had other issues. Take the truck to your mechanic and have them look it over.

Yes. I did. If it went through a 160 point inspection though, was the inspector asleep? High on weed?

Sounds like you got a great deal! I am not sure how much more a double cab is suppose to cost. But they seem real expensive. Even a 9 year old truck like the 2006 I am looking at for 17k plus fees.

But doesn't the certified warranty cover all those issues?

If you want used, I definitely would not buy a 2011. I would pay just a little more for a 2012 to get the updated features. Secondly, once you hit the 22K mark, IMO it's time to shop new. Drop the TRD model if you have to, but 63K miles is not worth that small amount cheaper. Search for a 2015 if you don't want the 3rd gen.

Cab configuration shouldn't affect price very much to my knowledge?? Just like one shirt costs the same no matter the size.

What about the 2006 TRD ? You think 17k for a 2006 is way over priced? TRD Model not worth the upgrade?

I have heard that build quality was even better for earlier years, and I hope to never let go of my 2007. I don't know if I would pay 17K for one, that's a lot. As for TRD, not really. The seats and locker are nice to have if you use them. I've swapped TRD seats into mine. What will you be using the truck for exactly?

    Yeah it's 17k, and it has 93k miles. Which I think it's low for a 2006.

I am basically going to daily drive the truck on the hwy and light off road. Nothing crazy.

Part of the reason it's 17k is because it is a big dealer, not private sale. But I would also be getting a very low interest rate. I have seen them for 14k on private sales but they also had more miles, around 110k-120k miles.

How many miles on your 2007? Any problems at will it?
