The brighter the color, the easier you'll get unstuck :notsure: :anonymous:

The easier you'll see in when in a mud hole. For some of us, it's not really applicable. But if you get in some soupy junk, I guess green/pink is easier to see.

Wow...sorry about that. I wrote this very quickly. Yeah if you get neon pink you'll never get stuck again...lol! But seriously...as @Mcdees84 stated...when you use these in mud/slim/sand...a lot of times they will be buried or at least well slimmed. Bright colors make recovery of the ladders easier, cause they will stand out against the mud/slim/sand. As to where if they were camo, brown, black, or tan...they would/could easily blend in with the mud/slim/sand.

Another thing they suggested in the article was to attach a strap to the ladders. Same logic ...just makes them easier the find after you use them.

Thank you for the help sir!

126? I thought you had to pledge 180 to get them?

This thread has blown up. Have we determined yet whether or not they're a better purchase than the smittybuilts? At 180 maybe so, but expected retail seems off the charts.

126 is the first tier you can get them at. I pledged 161 and got the mounts for them as well.

We really have no idea how they will be, its a shot in the dark, but I'll risk saving on a set if they are potentially better or as good as Maxtrax.

only way to determine is to give them a shot... so its either get them now at a 50% off and cross your fingers... or wait and see what people have to say once they get them and then end up paying more money if its what your interested. its a gamble but they look good. It is $126 for the Treds only. if you want the Treds and mounting bracket then its $161 (this being in US dollars)

Oh it's AUD.... Great!! Curious as well. How else can one mount them? I'd prefer them in a bag so I can store them out of the way..

Seems worth it to me, half the cost of maxtrax, plus you get shipping and the mounts included.

image.jpg A bag would be nice. That's an option you can pledge for too. But I like the idea of having them mounted. I have a Yakima roof rack on my bed (I attached a pic) and would like to figure out a way of mounting them on there... Just curious what people where thinking of doing...

Mount them from the bottom of the rack?
I'm sleeping on it cause I really like the bag idea and their pro bag has a bunch of storage on it.

I paid 179 AUD (126 or so?) for the pads themselves. Don't need a mounting bracket and honestly that bag is too much for my taste. Might try and get a more generic one for them from the smittybilts.

I like the bag idea too. Keeping them protected that way and out of the way in the garage. I switched to get the mounting bracket on mine. If I use it perfect if not then I'll cry for a night and then get over it lol. I like your idea of mounting them under the basket. Thanks!

That's a good idea. Might have to look into that if I can't use the mount they come with. Actually if I can't use the mount on the truck then I'll put the mount on my wall in my garage to keep them out of the way that way.

I have a question: I backed the set where your get 4 ladders and a mounting thing. What do you do if you want to back them a 2nd time... But now for a carrying bag? I thought I read it somewhere...and now I can find it?

    Thanks in advance!
