17x9" wheel with 265/70/R17 on stock suspension?

    Aloha everyone, I was wondering anyone has any information if I can run these xd 801 cranks which is a 17x9" wheel with 265/70/R17 BFG ko2 tire without rubbing? or should I buy the stock 265/65/R17 ko2 tire for a 2016 Tacoma double cab 4x4? The offset is 0, and backspace is 5 if that matters. lol any info would be greatly appreciated. mahalos for ur time. aloha.

    I think on 2nd gen if you have backspace above 4.5 you risk rubbing the spindle. Not sure about 3rd gen.

    I'm not sure about the 3rd gens but 2nd gens -12mm offset with a 4.5" backspacing was the ideal wheel.

    I am ordering the revolvers, when you say backspacing is that an extra spacer or what are you referring to? When I searched for mine the offset was the only option for the wheels.

    bunch of stuff - Bro Pro style
    I have -6 setback on 17x8.5 wheels with 265/70/R17
    Nitto Grapplers they fit no problem. My tires are just a hair outside the fenders - with those wheels they will be farther to the inside about an inch not going to rub the fender or the front skirt cant say about the fender well tho...

    I am looking at Dick Cepek Gun Metal 7 wheels in 17" x 8.5" or 9" wide. Can anyone with a 2 wheel drive stock suspension give me pointers regarding offsets.. Does not seem to be much space between stock tires and the upper control arms. Would like some different wheels and little taller wider rubber.

    I have these on my 2nd Gen. I run 285s lifted with coils and 5100s. Still rubbed the cab mount in reverse or hard turns. I think with 265s it probably would have worked fine.

    Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    My tires rubbed when I pulled out of the dealer's lot.

    These will probably rub somewhere as well.

    I have on Gear Alloy Manifold 17x9 with a -12 offset on my TRD Sport 4x4. I wrapped them with Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/65/17 tires. Kept the same stock size on the tires since I was only allocated a certain amount of money by my CFO (the wife :)). I have no rubbing whatsoever and love the look of them as well. Tacoma with new wheels and tires 2.jpg Hope this helps with your decision.

    TBH, I don't recall what the weight was. Might have to check the gear alloy website and hopefully they'll have the information. Hope this helps.
