Nice! I guess which ever I decide to buy it will be a good truck. These trucks down value much at all! Nice truck by the way!

i let my dealer do it.... Their knuckles, and their 16hrs...... I've talked to a few ppl and with everything (headers, pulley, ypipe, exhaust, blower), 350 crank hp seems to be a safe estimate. Dyno I seen with same mods on another truck pulled 320 to the tires.

If you don't mind me asking. What was the cost for that a dealer? I wouldn't mind getting the 2006 and with the savings getting a TRD supercharger.

https://youtu.be/W52W4gdKVHA ..... This guy is a complete jackass and doesn't seem to know a damn thing but claims 367hp to the wheels..... Says its been on a dyno, but I dont remember seeing a video of the dyno run.. And who WOULDNT document a dyno run? .....moral of the story, don't believe outrageous claims without proof.... And who knows if the operator Even set up the dyno right, or what gear he held the automatic in...... He is such a tool, he is funny tho.

np....... But the blowers will not be offered by Toyota anymore. Magnuson did by the rights to reproduce them tho. Exactly the same Eaton m90 blower, just no TRD letters embossed on it.

I don't think that's been answered yet by anyone... Let's hope they will ATLEAST flash the ecu for the new injectors.

I currently have 122k miles. Also, I forgot to mention that I also installed a TRD elocker axle. So I guess it's a TRD off road, essentially. How much is that package?

I have had 0 mechanical problems with it other than maintenance. A couple batteries, headlights, brakes, etc. Only real problem was the u joints squeaking horribly when they were due for change. Oh, my AC does chirp. There is a Tsb but I hear it doesn't fix anything, the solution is to take out the blower motor and clean it/add oil.

I had my engine oil analyzed by Blackstone and they told me everything looks great. Transmission fluid at 110k was almost the same color as the new stuff I put in. My ultragauge tells me that the engine likes to stay between 185 and 188 degrees and my transmission tends to float around 153 with reasonable variance upon load.

In short: she's still going strong!! Knock on wood.

Off-road pkg was a few grand...... Besides the locker it also had upgraded seats, power outlet, bilstien struts, the off-road has progressive coils, the 16"rims/tires,included mandatory sr5 II package, and prolly a few other things I missed.

Thanks for the info! Good to know these trucks are easy to convert to a elocker axle. Which is what I want eventually. Sounds like the 2006 is not a bad buy but for only a few bucks more a month I can buy a 2011 SR5.

You think so? I have though about it, but they seem smaller. Why do you say it's the best gen?

Yeah they are smaller. They are considered compact trucks rather than the second gens are mid sized. But my step brother is 6foot something, and he fits in a regular cab first gen.

For off-road, a smaller truck can fit on the trail a lot better.

Gas Milage is about the same but horsepower and torque go to second gens.

It really depends on what you use your truck for. But I really think the 1st gens have a bit more quality than the second gens.

    It's up to you man.
