He called me back, nice guy, but says he doesn't have anything in inventory that matches my build. A custom build would take up to 3months for delivery and I still have to pay the $5k... Supposedly the TRD Pro is going to be $5k more than the current lineup. I'm gonna try a few more dealers in the area to see what happens.

 

many dealers will order one for you for MSRP. go find one of them

 

yea, I don't want MSRP and I don't want to wait 3-months. I've been playing with build tool on Toyota's website, I change the Zip code around to other areas and it appears to show local inventories. Its a bit far for me, but I happen to find my build in Las Vegas (300mi), If it comes down to it, I'll drive out there to 'pick up the pick-up'

 

Not true......Some Dealers are discounting them quit a bit..... California Dealers are just plain greedy

And my dealer threw in Tint, their standard mop and glo, ding and key protection for a year, and a full tank of gas

 

Because California Dealers can... like he says Supply and Demand. People have the money and are willing to pay. Why should a car dealer sell one for $500 over Invoice to Joe if Charlie will come in and pay $1500 over invoice to buy the same truck?

 

You are correct. Due to demand, most if not all dealerships are marking up these vehicles anywhere you go anywhere between $5-10k. We are defenitly on the low end of that. The thing with this dealership, there is a markup but we are providing a Lifetime Warranty as well as accessorizing them. Understood if you want to wait to find the vehicle at invoice, but that's not likely.

Lifetime "warranty" is not a warranty at all. Its a third party insuring the drive train only.It's not transferable like a real VSC Practically every dealer around here uses that gimmick. I bought the genuine Toyota Platinum, no deductible exclusionary Vehicle Service Contract covering 8 years and 100K for $1050 all in. PM me for information how to get one.

Your MSRP seems high for the above model. Picked exact copy except manual version with tow package, chrome tip, MSRP was $33,162.00 got it for 31900 before Taxes, Tags, title and oh doc fees

nope, hamer. But I did some digging, the build I want is not allocation build for California, so I have to go out of state. I found a dealer out of state who has (2) variation of the build I want, but does not want to budge on the price. Price is MSRP, so progress....

 

everyone needs to stop shopping and buying tacoma's for a few weeks, this will bring reduce demand and decrease price. Come on! we can do it!

For those in search of the rare 7568 (off-road 4x4 long bed), Toyota of Redlands (at least their website) claims to have one. Super white, MSRP $36,099.

 

It hasn't been deposited on, yet? At that price, it has tow package and carpet mats. No exhaust tip or Premium and Tech. Nice truck. When will they be getting it?

 

Not sure. I've just been checking various dealer websites frequently and that one is new.
