x2 on what Anthony said^ mine clears the coil over probably by 1/4 of an inch at full droop before this set up in the pic. mine isnt 90* at bump but pretty close, could have gone more if i cut the fenders more but went conservative. mine are angled alot more than others ive seen, but in the pics it makes it look crazy angled but it works perfect

Does anyone have any input about BTF fab. I know their ranger stuff is pretty good. But I'm looking to cantilever my truck. To my knowledge they have not done a Tacoma. Any input would help

Btf has built a front kit and a couple fully built trucks 3 or 4 years ago. Can't really find much info on user feedback, but with all the reputable companies building a solid kit, what's the benefit of going with BTF

I just realized you have a first gen. My comment was geared towards their second gen stuff

Brandon at BTF is a great fabricator and goes the extra mile for his customers. If you're considering going with BTF, I absolutely recommend them.

I have BTF front long travel, It's solid as can be nothing to complain about. If i ever link i probably stick with BTF to match

Parting out my first gen 2rz motor transmission and interior if anyone's interested. Have to make room for something a little healthier. Does it count as an update if I roll the truck inside from behind the garage?

Pretty sure they did a cantilever on a tundra and a race kit up front for it if I'm correct. The owner was happy with how it did. They do great clean work over there.

BTF prototyped their first cantilever kit on my old ranger. Awesome pair of brothers who make a great product they truly stand behind, and will go the extra mile to answer any and all questions or make sure you're satisfied.

ok so i'm new to the LT scene and a co-worker and i were talking what is better

he thinks setting up a 2WD DCLB Taco with a LT set up is a waste of money, and i'm just wondering what the pros and cons i'm pretty much wanting to do some high speed running and maybe some jumping here and there but nothing to crazy not really looking to destroy my truck but i've always wanted a LT set up

thank you in advance and sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this lol :notsure:

high speed running + occasional jumping = lt truck

Its not a waste of money but you will spend a lot building an lt truck but you will also have a lot of fun with it, read the long travel section stickies theres a lot that goes into owning, maintaining, and building an lt truck. Seriously I was talking to a family member the other day about how much Ive spent on my truck and I told them I dont want to even add it up lol

What is the LT 2wd compared to, where do you live, what kind of terrain is around you? If you're in the middle of a fucking swamp, yeah it's pointless. If you have somewhere to actually use the truck to its potential, then no it's not a waste.

But since it's YOUR truck, what every YOU do to YOUR truck is YOUR decision and YOUR money. If YOU enjoy the long travel kit YOU put on YOUR truck, then find some new friends.
