Toytec/Boss Coilovers, Icon 2.0 with AAL in the rear. General Grabber A/T 2 ARB front bumper
Everyone seems to be in the favor of headstrong. I personally never dealt with them, but everyone seems to say good things. I went with toytec for my lift. They were great, fast shipping, and answered every question I had. Coilovers shipped assembled. Had a problem with my AAL when it got here and they overnighted the parts I needed without me even asking them to. They weren't the cheapest option available to me, but everyone said they had great customer service. Which IMO was worth the little extra cash. Maybe @ToyTec Lifts can pm you the tacoma world discount code

    • Bilstein 5100 front with 887x coils
    • Bilstein 5100 rear
    • Deaver 1.5" aal
    • Light racing UCA
    • Drivers side lean 1/4 spacer
    • 1/2 top plate spacer on driver/passenger

Now the questions are... can you use the 1/2 top plate spacers in addition to the 1/4 spacer? Also can you put the bilsteins to 0.85 with the 887 coils?

Dont waste you're time on 5100's.....they're poser shocks. Valving is weak and they're too small. If you do anything other than crawling (can geta away with whatever shock gives you max travel) they dont hold up.

It's not much more to get coilovers, ALL and rear shocks. You dont need a lean spacer and the top plate spacer just has you stacking lifts. It's a CHEAP way of "lifting" your truck.

Unless you are running a heavy bumper/winch combo, then the most you would want to do is the 3/8" thick top-spacers with the 887 coils. This is if you have a Double Cab. You DO NOT want to try and add more pre-load to the 887s. The Bilsteins need to be on the bottom 0" Setting. You DO need a 1/4" lean spacer when going with aftermarket coils since they are not side specific like the factory coils are. Out back I would suggest our 3 Leaf Add-a-leaf set for the best ride and performance.

I just went with 887/5100's up front and the Icon 1.5 Progressive leaf pack in the rear with Icon 2.0 shocks and the 1/4 inch spacer on the driver side. I went with Canburg UCA's and I would say definitely go with the Light Racing UCA's as after me complaining to the company of what shitty caster numbers I got they changed the website to state a lift of 2.5 is recommended. So don't waste your money on more expensive UCA's that will do you no good. I used the OME Carrier Bearing drop kit, and 3 degree shims. I have a slight shudder in the rear now that I think might be from the shims no idea. I might take them out and see if it changes. But Marie at Headstrong Off road was amazing to deal with and responds to messages and emails quite quickly.

Right. My Total Chaos UCA's do no good at all... Other than get me 1 deg of caster correction, don't break at the welds, or have repeated ball join failures. SPC is junk

We wouldn't recommend the use of the 1/2" spacers with the 887s. You're just going to be taking from more of the available down travel. I'd recommend sticking with the 1/4 on the drivers side only. Also with the 1/2" spacers you will need longer studs pressed in so keep this in mind.

If you have any other questions feel free to PM or e-mail us.

For the purpose adding additional adjustment needed to get your alignment squared away when you have a lifted truck, they work real well. If your intentions are to do some hardcore offroading you will be better off with a nice set of uniball UCAs.

Calling SPC junk isn't fair at all IMO. You don't like the product they make, keep it to yourself

In my opinion they're junk. I payed good money for a set critical suspension parts and had nothing but failure after failure. I understand that folks like their adjustability to get their alignment right. If you dig a little deeper into lifted truck alignment, it's usually caster that comes up short on the alignment rack. TC as well as other aftermarket UCA's provide a fixed 1 deg and should easily give you the +Caster numbers need to track right. I stand my my comments about SPC. Broken welds, worn ball joints and all. Junk
