You guys should have a little snow this year buddy was up there doing some snow wheeling about a week ago. If we get another storm or two should be a fun trip.

Original Tacoma: 6" lift, air bags in the rear, 17x9.5 XD Series rims w/ 35" Cooper STT Pro tires. Body Armor rear bumper with swing arm tire mount, TRD Exhaust, URD True Cold Air intake, TRD Front Brakes, RIGID INDUSTRIES grill and LED bar installed in it, LED Rear Lights, TracRack rack system, tool box. Sold the truck. Bought 2016 ram 2500 Laramie diesel. (7/2016) Picked up 97 Tacoma 4x4 Extended Cab 3.4L. Building motor now. (8/2017)
I'll have my go pro, and wife will probably bring her camera setup. She does photography on the side and went to school for it. I'm sure she wouldn't mind taking a few shots. But we'll have our hands full with the little guy so don't know how much footage we'll get. :)

    Are my cinematography services required?

    If so, I'll need:
    • A ride for me and potentially +1 or +2 (depending who I can get for crew)
    • Several folks to carry gear
    • Footage from everyone who's filming before we all split up

Considering joining for the Christmas Tree Hunt. It will be me and my brother. He has a 3rd gen 4runner and I got the Tacoma. We are both lifted, 4x4 with rear diff lockers but AT tires. Will we be fine with the ATs because few pages back recommended MT for this trip.
How long will it take to get a permit if I mail it in? Or should I buy it on the spot at the ranger station?

    enough to go over stuff
At tires will probably be ok as previously discussed. None of us know what the weather conditions will be the week before we go. If its snows it will be very muddy and those with ATs might have trouble. Mail forms are taking about 10 days. You will not have time to get a permit the day of.

The one truck with ATs got stuck last year and he was 4x4 locked.

I'm thinking if I should join you guys with my ATs. I just don't to be a burden if my AT start acting up and don't want to move me forward.

There will be quite a few of us with AT's if it's too snotty we take the main road. If it's not we give her hell. I'm sure the guys in front with mt's will pass the word back if it gets too nasty.

After further discussions with my wife she has decided to come along which means all 3 of my boys are coming 9, 4, and 1.5. This will be the first long road trip with all 3 in the back seat and all within arms reach of each other. Should be interesting. Lol!

I'll mail in a request form for a permit tomorrow. Hopefully it will arrive by the 5th.

You should get it in time. Did you request one for your bro too? They can be purchased at the ranger station but it's only open M-F.

That'd be most awesome if you wanted to roll and shoot some footy. Gear carrying shouldn't be an issue, but not sure where you're driving from, check the OP, see if anyone from your hood is making the trip. Like Budman I'm full with Familia, but there's bound to be a few empty seats for a badass cinematographer like yourself!
