If you have all day to get there Rodgers Canyon Rd is an option.... haha. Happy Jack is probably the best bet.

Yea I have days where I am set on the 295 and others where I get overwhelmed by how much I'm going to have to do again on the front end. Cut fenders, add spacers to clear uca which I rub with 285 already, adjust alignment to work with wider tire and I don't have much to play with in adding castor so that's not an easy option for me to clear the bigger tire... All of this work and its cold out and I don't have a big enough garage. Woo! I know I'm gonna wish I got a bigger tire but 285 is most logical and will save me the $$ in gears and spacers fer now.

Yea and really if your gonna get a bigger tire then a 305/75r17 like my dad would be best IMO. But you'd need bigger rims. And say good bye to your front mud flaps haha

I am glad I went with the 35's over 33's when all was said and done. There were headaches, like rubbing everything. But it is what I wanted and if I got 33's I would have probably regretted that decision and ended up selling them sooner than later.

It's no fun if you never have to tinker with stuff :p

yea he did. definitely required with 35s. Even 33s it doesn't hurt.

I don't regret it either. But it takes quiet a lot of work. And you don't have the same setup that Marc does up front and romp it quiet like he does. He might as well go long travel and get fiberglass fenders if he goes to 35s IMO.

He eats the fenders enough with 33s.

I was thinking 4.56 if I go 35's, curious what he regarded to and if it was enough for the 4 banger. Think at that point id want to invest in a corolla for a DD lol

Yep, 4.88. I could get around town fine, 4lo was fine, even highway speeds didn't suffer that much from 32-35's. I highly recommend regearing as soon as possible though.

MrGrimm has long travel and cut the stock fenders to fit 35's. My guess is he romps pretty hard. IMO, if you are going to cut, then you might as well just cut the whole thing. 295's are pricey though. I remember I went with 315's because of the cost difference.

Marc, there are 2" fiberglass front fenders now with the flare so it looks stock. Supposedly you can fit 35's on them. I didn't have to trim much of the rear, just the inside lip and fender liner. That might be a good route if you really despise cutting and want to keep the stock look.

    go 4.88s.

you have to cut no matter what for 35s. 34s even. Of course MrGrimm trimmed. But not sure Marcs OCD would be could will that and the tires sticking out that far, thus the fiberglass.

    295s cost more then 315s??? Wow..that's weird..

No, 295 are like 220, 315 is about 228, and 285 are 215 I think. Thats all from tire rack and for the ko2.

I'm not against cutting really, its the 295 aren't that much bigger than a 285 with more headache to get things playing nicely. I'm realizing that it's kind of dumb to go to a 295 and not just a 315 if you have to gear and cut either way...

No, my bad I was thinking of 305's on 17's. Those cost more for the MTR's plus I needed new wheels. 295's are cheaper but selection is/was limited. Part of me wishes I did fiberglass but I have heard that's also a PITA to get to fit properly and have the paint match.

We join the 35 club! :D

    Ah okay.

Fiberglass isn't that bad to fit. Not fun. But not bad. I don't like that they don't take a lot of abuse before breaking either. Paint matching, yea okay, if you're into that sorta thing..lol

That's where I ended up when I was deciding between those sizes. In the end I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to do the same thing as I did with my 32's and sell them halfway through their life. I am happy with the 35's. They aren't 37's but they do good work and are super cushy aired down :).

Some of us have trucks that still look pretty :p. Not that frank isn't beautiful in it's own fucked up way.

My roommates sister had a friend over who had a dodge on 37's. My truck and tires looked tiny. I would like 36's only because that is the sweet spot where my speedo will read accurately.

I just know what I am off by but it would be nice to not have to do that. Not a big deal but it's the little things haha.
