Glad I could help. The video is much much clearer before it was uploaded to YouTube. They like to murder video quality lol

I picked up the one from Costco today. Been thinking about getting one for a while. I am happy with it so far, it is easy to use and you can adjust some things on it to your preferences. Records about a 2 hour loop with the included card, which is more than enough in my opinion, but you can get a bigger card if you want.

I have mine set up to record as many 5 minute intervals that will fit on a 32g card. Makes it easier to find something. And it constantly overwrites the oldest file and with one touch of a button it stops from overwriting a certain file if something happens

I've got mine set to 1 min loops. Easier to find/edit when I find something worthwhile for this thread. I'm looking forward to the 805's larger capacity though. I run my cam 24/7, since I park outside both at home and work. I'm hoping to score usable surveillance video someday, in case something happens while I'm parked.

I set mine at 3mins. 5 min clips take too long to load in the computer editor. And 1 min clips are too short for when I need to lock a clip, sometimes when I capture something and go to lock the clip, it's too late and started a new clip.

Nothing really stupid here, besides me. The folks in that Mustang were driving well under the speed limit, to enjoy the view probably. But anyways, picked up a Street Guardian SG9665GC and finally got to looking over some videos.

Walmart has some dash cams for like $25. Thinking about getting one and testing it as a rear camera. It's one of their Christmas items.

How are the mounts on the various cams that y'all are using? I'm hoping to get one that I can turn around to face me, to record the cop if I get pulled over.

The cobra I got from Costco has an awesome mount and it is 360 degrees. It suction cups on super tight and the camera is in a ball swivel attached to that. I can turn it around to face me and the window in about two seconds and will do that if I get pulled over.

Got one, kinda, today. You don't see the impact of the Civic hitting the telephone pole, but you can see what led up to it. Pictures of the damage are at the end of the video. Basically, young woman enters an intersection (from the right) while speeding, when the light turns yellow. Full size truck (left side of screen) from other direction starts to turn, but stops. Civic driver panics and locks up the brakes, loses control, clips curb, fish tails back and eats a telephone pole. She broke the pole and moved the damn thing like 2 feet from its original position.

For shits and giggles, here's the time-lapse video I made before/after the wreck.

Fuck. I'm days away from buying a dashcam and some half asleep lady cuts me off. Glad nobody was injured... except for my Tacoma baby. :-(

It's not me. It's from a video in the Houston subreddit.
