Look forward to hearing a about it.

I definitely wanna keep the oem headunit. If it didn't have the integrated reverse cam I would swap it out. Or a way to integrate the reverse cam into the aftermarket unit (99% sure you can't), or find a way to mount an aftermarket reverse cam in the oem location

Learned something new! Thanks guys. It has been some years since I did an install, and didn't know these were possible (other than the steering wheel control, and usb adapter.

    Thanks for the link

Yeah, I prefer aftermarket. but didn't want to lose the camera, or bluetooth. Nav I am ok without and also the steering wheel control. Didn't know they had adapters, or ability to integrate them to an aftermarket headunit

^^Thats not a bad price considering it's priced with shipping, but then again you get what you pay for.

It's a 3/4" box, what problems could it have?

I had one of those single JL audio 8's that @VandalTaco paired with a JL 500/1 posted in this thread. I havent had a chance to get it installed because I want a shop to do it, but I had it installed in my 2004 F-150 and I can tell you for an 8, that thing is perfect!! and it looks like it'll fit perfect behind the seat.

I could be wrong, I just have had a bad experience buying stuff what was cheaply/poorly made.

at most maybe they didn't use enough nails so I'd run around it with a nail gun, ez to do. I'd
never make one knowing they're this cheap to buy. Just need to find out if they'll
    fit the 2016's.

I have a 2012, and unless I hack up my back pieces it won't fit. The pass side looks like it'll fit. not sure about the 2016, but it looks like they might have a TAD more wiggle room. There's one posted earlier for reference maybe ask them.

Hey guys, I'm wanting to do a bucket seat swap in my 1st gen and make a center console. I was thinking 1 or 2 10" in the console. I like to rest my arm on it while I'm driving, would it not work for an arm rest.

It could be done, you'd just need to get the seats in and see how much space is left. It'll all depend on your fab skills.

I feel like I could do it, just don't know if it'll vibrate and feel to uncomfortable for an armrest.

Don't know what material either, could I make a wood skeleton and put fiberglass over it or would in not be strong enough

Ideally, the enclosure should not vibrate on the outside - they are made to be rigid to prevent flexing, which causes distortion. The outside of the cabinet becomes a speaker of it's own so-to-speak. Thick stiff wood like MDF is often used because it has a good price/strength ratio. You could make an internal structure out of MDF, and then a cosmetic shell out os fiberglass or other material over the outside for appearance. If the armrest is vibrating - then it either isn't made still enough or not rigidly mounted. Form a plan for solid mounting first, figure out the enclosure size you can fit, and then figure out how to make it look good.

Alright thanks bud, I don't want to to weight to much though. That's why I was thinking of making it out of fiberglass
