Saw this at a dealer lot this morning. Oopsy. Are those plant or port installed?

Best part was watching the salesman show his manager who said, "it's supposed to be like that!" Then he noticed only three out of the four were painted. Ha.

Folks, check your new trucks for minor silliness!

My guess is it got into a minor fender bender at port or on the lot so they tried to cover it up in a hurry and didn't even realize what they had done.

I can't believe how far along that made it before it was noticed. Like as in the end of the line then it gets seen.

However, with that in mind, I wonder if the dealer didn't pay attention when then fixed it because I can't imagine at a Toyota level that slipped by them.

REALLY???!!! ok, I would seriously like to know which plant this came from. Did you happen to note it?

Does anyone else think there's a serious QC oversight issue here?! And there was the other issue of a TRD Sport sticker on one side and TRD Off Road sticker on the other. Makes you wonder if anything internal that you CAN'T see was missed! The way these things are being pumped out during 3 shifts to make demand leads me to wonder if there will be more oversights like this. How can you not be concerned about QC!? Now, this could be done at "port", but still, this is freaking TOYOTA, not GM! Toyota customers demand better quality. GM customers consider a reliable vehicle as one that will simply start up. Toyota customers look at fit & finish, long term reliability and everything in between.

Isn't there like one guy hired to check for these obvious things before they leave? This pic needs to go to Toyota, along with the lame-ass comment from the dealer that's it's supposed to be like this. I'm waiting for my DCLB but might hold off until Toyota, or this plant, gets their shit together.

That's the other thing - why are so many trucks being pumped out of Baja and San Antonio is lagging balls? F-ing 10 years to figure out a launch and they trickle out (with no long beds) and get put on lots with screw-ups like this, vibration issues, engine leaks, humming noises, "safe mode" episodes, window leaks, etc. etc.

Rant over, just hurry up Toyota and build my freaking truck already.

All assembly lines make mistakes once in a while. Shit happens. Toyota will make it right. End of problem.
