So, advancements in technology, comfort are bad? You want a "truck"? Then you should buy a 1970's one ton 4x4. You would no doubt love it.

I know. It's bizarre. Like the criticism is somehow directed at them and personal or something. I don't agree with everything 100%, but the review is fair, unbiased and generally how I feel about the truck. Which I just bought and love. Nothing is perfect.

CR doesn't like the Colorado = toyota fanboys praise CR for being unbiased, accepting no advertising dollars from automotive companies, and being very scientific in their testing

CR says negative things about the new Tacoma = toyota fanboys bash CR for being a piece of trash that doesn't know what they're doing

And pay 30 to 40k for it. What did PT Barnum say?

I don't know. No real issues from me. There's going to be more shifting, obviously as there are more gears. Hell, Ram has a eight (nine?) speed auto. I don't find the '16 Tacoma's transmission an issue. Shifts appropriately, downshifts quickly, and is responsive enough. Even with the six speed box, not getting near the mileage I would've expected. Bummer.

Tell me why all trucks have IFS now.
Trucks drove just fine back in the days of solid axles, they drove like trucks because they where used as trucks. Now they are for car people. Sure you can use them to do stuff, but they are made primarily for comfort now. Some of us still use trucks as trucks, to carry tools , material, not groceries and kids.

Well looks like you bought a 2nd gen that rides like a truck...didn't you test drive it before you spent 30 to 40k ?

"We're really not sure that all the Tacoma's "newness" Toyota claims is adding up to all that much.
The problem with the 2016 Tacoma: It feels, drives, and sounds an awful lot like the unrefined old truck. We were expecting more."

I traded a 2013 Tacoma for the 2016. I absolutely love the new truck. I subscribe to consumer reports, I occasionally refer to it, but definitely don't take it as gospel, especially their car and truck reviews. I swear that their reviewers are 90 year olds suffering from painful hemorrhoids. Bottom line, I like the truck and don't care about the reviews.

I bought it for other features, not because I liked or preferred it's ride or handling.

I think it is pretty sad that people without 2016 Tacoma's hang out in the 2016 forum. I'm sure you didn't mean to push any buttons with this thread or anything.

Do I have your permission to hang out in the 2016 forum?
