Really, only a small thread of the idea of buying a house remains. But it is still there. The container idea is the way I want to go. I decided on that route, because its easier to expand and customize.
Thinking I'll go out there next week (depending on the weather) to check out a few parcels. Right now I'm thinking 40 acres is enough, small enough to see if someone is roaming where they shouldn't but big enough to not have to worry about people bitching about my music while working.
Username, exploring is definately a plus. Although, unless my back gets fixed, the dunes won't be explored. Unless I get a rail with very good soft suspension.

I'd love to have that kind of property. I'm fortunate enough to own just enough to not see any nieghbors, but not enough to legally have my own shooting range. :(

One of my dads old coworkers lived on Lake Goodwin and made a shooting range in his boat house.. A few times he missed and the bullets went straight through the door into the lake.

I lived in a shipping container village for several years. They were not finished out, but I always dreamed of building with them. (UNCLASS)

Yeah, we never had access to a training facility that nice. All our training scenarios were paintball guns and 5 containers in the woods. I'm thinking I don't need something that expansive to live in.

One of 14 cities we built. No, you wouldn't want anything that crazy, but it did give me some interesting ideas. Four of them in a square with one end on top of the sides would be my dream. That way the courtyard in the middle could be the garage/ grill spot. Always has shade, but out of sight. Our range had a triple stack, with a double stack in front of it and a single in front of that. We would set up the M2 on the top tier, belt feds in the middle and small arms at the base. It was awesome for shooting out past a click! Loud inside for the ammo dogs though... They finished them out with foam covered in stucco and they were fairly wel insulated.

Soooo question for those much smarter than me. Currently have billys in all four corners. With a aal on the back... my drivers side leaf spring is now sagging about an inch. I want to upgrade to dakars which are 2.75 but billys are only good for 2 inch lift correct? Just curious of people's set up more than anything. But advice is also great. Hahha

You're probably going to max out those Billy's when flexing

Youll probably max them out at full flex. For normal driving youll be fine though.

For offroading....youd want to probably add a limit strap so the shock isnt your limit. They are pretty cheap (sub 50 bucks) but youd need to have tabs welded on for them.

best bet though...sell the current shocks and buy longer ones :) Luckily the rear shocks are relatively cheap (compared to front C/O's)

Hmm what would you recommend for longer length shocks? OME to go with the dakars?

I now have the RCD 5100's, flex is greatly improved on droop! But watch your compressed length, might need to make bump adjustments...

    What make is it?
I'm starting to hate rifle seasons. All the branch bulls got shot out of the herd that frequents our property and people split the herd and ran half if it several miles right into town almost. Just caught someone trying to sneak onto our place. Rumor is 9 bulls and a cow were shot out of the Hagg Lake herd too.

You can have the bilstein's that can off my truck. I'll go get the model # off them in a few, but they are 11" travel.
