    That was my first thought, but the wheel button is a high use item and the 4x4 bezel doesn't look bad. My concern on the volume button is, 'will it wear well or will you have to chase it?' Look at this way, in current form they are both 'glance-on-the-fly...' :cool: Keep us posted on your build.

    I just installed my oil catch can exactly where you put your SS mount plate.
    Is there room for all that stuff on top of the current plastic lidded fuse box? Probably not. It probably won't clear the hood. Maybe I'll have to move my oil catch can if I do this.

    I designed it on the computer and then had it made. I wish I had the tools and equipment to do it myself.

    A few people have asked me how I did the weapon mount, so here are some details on that.

    The mount and buttplate I bought used on Ebay, although it didn't come with a key. I contacted the company and because I have an EMS background, they mailed me a set, no charge. I personally would rather have the handcuff key version, but it works. The bar its mounted to I bought from Home Depot. I took a few measurements, made a few bends and mounted it with the two bolts of the seats. The wiring is fairly simple. I used an aironboard.com momentary switch for under the AC. You can use any momentary switch though and put it wherever in the vehicle you like. It didn't matter to me what the switch face said because I sanded it smooth and painted it black to make it look like a blank. The company that makes the lock also makes a timed relay but I don't think its adjustable so I bought this one. Here is the wiring diagram...
