Really?? I grew up up there. Lived in Spring Valley for 18 years, went to Mayer. Do you know any of the Johnson family? Randy, James, Jack? They all have and still do work for YCSO.

@swalters try the XDs.. You will probably feel that same discomfort at the bottom of the trigger guard, that's the unfortunate part of a micro compact like that. The 3.3" barrel is not TOO bad to control on the XDs .45.. But in general.. I was trying to say anything that short, in any platform, is going to be much harder to shoot accurately at range, short barrel, short ass distance between sights, etc.. Like I said tho.. I knew I wouldn't be taking shots longer than 10-15 yards with it.. So its ok. Just know going into it, it has a very niche place in the handgun world. Up close and personal, with a tad of bite, especially being .45. The grip is very textured, and it didnt hurt my hand.. But it did leave it numb after a few mags (which is only 15+3 if chambered). In the end.. Any small, short barreled pistol is gonna have the same drawbacks.. Thats just the nature of the beast.. But.. With all that said.. I still want another one. Wish I had mine still, I'd let you try it out, carry it for a while, etc. Have my Kydex holster for it on my bedside table... Just taunting me.. Lol

good to hear you went and shot one. My G19 Gen 4 is my go to, it was the first gun I bought and will be the last one I sell. I have never had a misfire, rarely clean it, run it dry, generally beat the shit out of it and its never given me an issue. I like the shield too, but I'm a Glock shooter and the 43 fits my hand better. But that might put on hold if I can pick up my Sig MPX in the next couple weeks :D

Yeah that's the price I pay for wanting a smaller package. Like I said the shield surprisingly wasn't that bad and I believe it's barrel length is 3.1". Aarons dad said I was also pulling the trigger real hard so I'll have to adjust that next week and see. I'm so excited to shoot the xds with all the good things I've read about it haha
