Tell me why all trucks have IFS now.
Trucks drove just fine back in the days of solid axles, they drove like trucks because they where used as trucks. Now they are for car people. Sure you can use them to do stuff, but they are made primarily for comfort now. Some of us still use trucks as trucks, to carry tools , material, not groceries and kids.[/QUOTE]

My 2014 Ram with its new fangled suspension towed and hauled while providing a good ride. Our 12k lb TT. Was exceptionally uneventful.

And yeah, we got groceries with it to, when we weren't bombing around the mountains in western Oregon with our TT.

Technology generally allows to do things better. It's a good thing. Otherwise we'd still be flipping our phones open to answer a call. Or, getting a ruptured spleen by going on a short drive in our trucks.

Starting over with a new GMC AT4 Satin Steel Metallic Softopper, Bilstein 5100's @ 1.75 in the front, TSB Rear, 17x8.5 Lvl 8 Guardians, 265/70-17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Scooped, Anytime fog mod, Osram Nightbreakers, LED Interior lights, Debadged, Painted valance, Removed rear head rests, De-flapped, Hidden Hitch installed, Weather Techs, Flyzeye'd A/W/A, Cover Kings.
Here's a better quick summary as to why their systems are flawed, this again points at their reliability rating because those are the simplest to understand. In general, the way Consumer Report goes about gathering it's data, especially who and where they get it from, is flawed. If you would like to discount it because it is from a Ford website, by all means do so. I happen to work in one of the wealthier cities in America, I see LOTS of Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus... not too many Fords or Chevy's. Any study pointed at those people is going to skewed towards imports and that's exactly where CR gets it's data.

btw that's the definition of a theory man..

    http://blog.bluespringsfordparts.com/233/consumer-reports-rating-methodology-flawed/

It doesn't take very much looking around to find dozens of times CR findings have been seriously flawed. From car seat safety, which they had to publicly apologize for after it was found to be completely false and misleading, to mattresses to electronics.

I am all for hearing counter arguments against CR's methodology. But any article or data that has the word "Par" or more blatant "Ford" is laughable when trying to say CR are a bunch of idiots. So yeah. I will absolutely dismiss this without as much as reading it. Because it's obviously biased, thusly flawed. Again, nobody should pick one source of information and call it gospel. I will say that CR's tests and ratings mirror my experience, mostly. And my uncle has been an independent mechanic for 30 years, and he too says it's pretty dead on in his considerable experience.

You want to disagree with CR? Cool. Tell me how you research new vehicles? What is more objective and scientific? Motor Trend? Car & Driver? Forums? Research "data" from Ford? Hmm. None of these are anywhere near as reliable. So I am very curious as to what is better out there.

    Funny story...
Earlier this year a local Sheriffs Dept was looking for a certain individual for numerous charges...
Said individual "liked" the sheriffs dept post and was ultimately caught because of it.

Fast forward to today, I noticed you "liked" my post with a recent join date, and a username that smelled political. What's my point? Oh, nothing other than you have a dup acct with @LuvTacos

    Coincidence? I think not.

Obviously you didn't read anything further than "fan boy" & yes your leading statement i highlighted reeks of fan boy ideology, ok maybe your not, but it looked that way & you can take that "passive aggressive" shit & pack it in yer chute, are you the TW onsite psychologist ?

I don't march into any thread looking to start shit OR stir it up more, those threads are usually well on their way to melt down before I see them. But know this, when I take my time to post up info that's useful/correct/helpful & lastly , in a friendly manner (yes it happens) only to be dismissed or insulted because someone doesn't like the answer I can promise you I WILL retort in a not so friendly way.. I started 1 thread in the 3rd gen & YOU tell ME how long it took to go to shit.....& thread wasn't inflammatory..

Way to go Sherlock! You left out the part that when LuvTacos said bad things about Tundra's, you made his account difficult to access. Slow to move pages, slow to log or off, etc.

Not sure if it's TW policy, but Censorship is alive and well when you're in control!
