I have gloss white, gloss red, gloss light gray, gloss dark gray, gloss black, anthracite (dark gray metallic) and silver metallic vinyl in stock, some with matte options. I also have reflected red and blue available.

Details instructions are below the attached images (and included with each order).



This installation should take about 30 minutes. Here is what you will need:

Denatured or Isopropyl alcohol
Spray bottle
Water
Dish soap
Masking tape
Soft towel

Proper cleaning and preparation of the surface prior to vinyl application is critical to the success of the decals. The following cleaning and surface preparation conditions must be followed immediately prior to application. Failure to adhere to these requirements can cause adhesion loss and therefore reduce the durability and performance of the decals.

1. Position your truck in a well-lit area away from direct sunlight. The optimum temperature range for vinyl adhesion is 60 to 80 degrees F.
   
   
2. Clean the stamped letters on the tailgate with denatured or isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt, wax, or oils that may exist. Be sure to test in an inconspicuous area on the vehicle first to make sure the alcohol doesn’t damage the paint.

To ensure proper alignment within the stamped letters on the tailgate, we recommend the “wet” application method. Apply one decal at a time and be patient! We include one extra “practice” decal letter (T) to familiarize yourself with the application process.

1. Make a soap solution by filling a spray bottle with water and adding 3-4 drops of dish soap for every 6 oz. of water.
   
   
2. Spray the stamped letter on the tailgate with the soap solution, ensuring that the entire stamped area is wet.
   
   
3. Peel the corresponding vinyl decal letter from the paper backing and spray the adhesive side with the soap solution. Use masking tape to separate the vinyl from the backing paper if it does not peel cleanly.
   
   
4. Carefully apply the vinyl letter within the stamped letter on the tailgate and position it so that it is centered in the deepest area of the stamped letter. The soap solution will help move the decal to the desired position before the decal adheres to the vehicle.
   
   
5. Anchor a corner of the vinyl decal letter with your thumb and gently slide your other thumb across the letter to squeegee the water out from under the decal. Do this lightly at first to allow you to reposition the decal as needed as you squeegee it with your thumb. The vinyl will quickly adhere to the vehicle as the moisture is removed with each pass of your thumb so be sure it is positioned correctly and make several light passes over the decal. Once adhered to the vehicle the vinyl decal letter cannot be removed with destroying it (This is why we provide the “practice” decal letter).
   
   
6. Gently blot the excess moisture from the area with a soft towel and make several more gentle passes with your thumbs until there is no more moisture coming out from under the vinyl decal.
   
   
7. Repeat these steps for the remaining letters.
   
   
8. After all the vinyl decal letters have been applied return to the first decal and use a bit more pressure with your thumbs to squeegee out any remaining moisture. Repeat this final step on the remaining vinyl decals.

Please allow 24 hours for the vinyl decals to completely dry and properly adhere to the tailgate. Do not get the vinyl decals wet during this time.

Please note that the above instructions are based on industry standards for vinyl applications on automobiles. When properly applied these vinyl decals should last for 10 or more years with no shrinkage or peeling. Since we cannot control the actual application process we do not provide any warranty as to the durability and longevity of these vinyl decals. If after applying the “practice” letter you don’t feel that you can complete the installation yourself, I am sure your local window tint/auto graphics shop can do it for a nominal fee.

Just got these installed! This would be impossible to install without the water and soap mixture! I used a tweezers to peal the decal off the paper backing.

 

Not at this time, but I will look into it.

 

Just got mine from your eBay store, great value, love the new look, if you follow your directions page and use plenty of solution to keep it wet its easy

 

Looks great! The matte black on MGM is very subtle in certain lighting conditions, but then can stand out in others.

 

What do you all think would look nicer, black or chrome on a red limited that has the 4x4 and v6 chrome emblems on the tailgate?

The black would complement the black part of the bumper but I wonder about chrome to match the emblems.

BTW, can you make precut vinyl for the rocker panel sections? See that lower body "cavity" between the wheels and that small one just in front of the rear bumper? I want to give my truck a little contrast so it doesn't look like a parts store delivery truck, LOL. I could probably do it from scratch with some vinyl but I don't want to take an exacto knife after my truck.

 

Coming soon: Dark Grey Metallic (similar to MGM). These will look good on black and on silver Tacomas. They will be available for sale next week.

Nice, I remember doing this to my old mustang rear bumper. Definitely looks better than bare paint no matter what color you go with.

 

Black Tacoma lettering and pleeeeeeze get some fishing line and remove that dealer emblem up top.

 

Also now available is reflected black, red, and blue.
