Hey y'all - I have an '01 DC that has the bucket seats and I've had it with that stupid plastic trim thing on the side that keeps popping off every time I slide off. Seats are in very good condition (no tears / stains) and if this goes well, I'll be putting them up for sale here soon.

Anyhow, in an effort to get more comfy butt holders that don't suffer from that stupid plastic thing, I was looking at the Corbeau Reclining Sport Seats. I know some of you run Corbeaus in your setup so I'm asking for input on these seats. So, yeah...thanks!

I have the CR1 model and I love it but not sure about the sport seats. though Im pretty sure those would be a lot more comfy than mine.

You didn't have any issues installing it or with fit, right? I looked at the CR1's but while those are pretty, I want comfort :D

    Just a heads up:
I had the Corbeau GTII seats prior to my now Baja RS seats.
The GTII's were cool but, the foam bolstering gave out. The reason I went with them in the 1st place was the width. No issues in reaching the seat belt and clipping in and perfect seat width. Seat back was nice too.

The Baja RS seats are a bit wider. Seat bolster hits the console & door upon closing If they were an inch narrower, they would be perfect. As they are a suspension seat, they are comfortable and a great improvement over OEM. Seat back is also great.

Having said all of that, be sure to check the width on whatever seat brand you go for. And, be sure to get the same brand seat brackets... that will save a bunch of headaches.

    Hope this helps you.

no issue on installing since I also got the mounting brackets. I had issue with the seat buckle, the passenger buckle came off on a hunting trip, damn nut came lose by itself. on a 2 hour drive I would have to reposition my ass.

Nice build... and yes, I have those same seats.
I did reuse the Corbeau brackets that came with my GTII's, makes me wonder if each seat style has it's own bracket.

They do touch the door panels but I can live with it.

For our trucks there is only two brackets, one for a truck that had buckets or 60/40 and one that had bench seats originally.

Did you get double locking sliders or single?
I have the double and mine are only tight next to the seat belt buckle.

I have the double locking brackets. Definitely worth the money.

I don't have problems with my seat belts... only pulling from the resting location, over my shoulder. The latch is OK.

This is really good to read! So am I right to assume that I will also need to buy a pair of the seat brackets (link) (obviously, I'll splurge and get the double locks). Low Range Offroad has them on sale for $284.05 per which is a tad lower than on Corbeau's site.

I didn't fab mine because I wanted something that worked the 1st time plus I like the safety aspect of a DOT approved double locking bracket.

    Post pics when complete.
