Anyone seen any body side moldings for this car yet? I know some people use Nerf bars to protect but I really just want some moldings...

You can probably use the BSMs Stock from the Lexus or Camry if you don't have an inferno or blue truck. Silver , black and white should match

I had those on my '09 DC, and just ordered them for my new '16, they look good, and work great! That's the same EBay seller I ordered mine from.

How's the install? A pain or fairly simple?

I used these black body side moldings on both my 2010 and my dad's 2008.
I measured up from the bottom edges of the doors 7.5" and marked that with a grease pencil. I made about 8 - 10 marks per door and doubled checked each mark. I then used blue painter's tape to create the straight line using the grease marks. KEEP in mind that this brand of body side moldings for the front doors will have to be trimmed about 1.5" as they are designed for the 2nd gen Tacomas. The 3rd gens have the new hard pressed downward seem in the front of the driver's and front passenger's doors. The moldings for the rear doors fit perfectly. I then recruited my friend for help applying the body side moldings. I took a piece of wooden baseboard molding I picked up at Home Depot. My buddy held that piece of wooden baseboard against the top of the blue painter's tape to create a firm straight edge. I then started at the front of the rear doors and laid the body side molding against the top of the wooden baseboard an inch at a time working my way toward the rear of the door. The edge of the wooden baseboard will ensure you get the to soft body side moldings on true and straight the first time, since you really only have one chance. The same method was employed for the front doors starting the rear edge of the front doors so that you can align the front and rear molding correctly the first time. One you have the front and rear moldings aligned apply the front door molding toward the front of the truck. REMEMBER the front door moldings should trimmed about 1.5" to fit properly. I trimmed the body side moldings with a fresh razor blade using the same angle that was cut at the factory, that angle is important so that the body side molding fits the curve of the front door perfectly. You will trim this brand of body side moldings at the rear of the front door molding where the front door molding meets the seem between the front and rear doors.

From start to finish both sides of the truck took a total install time of about 1.5 hours.

Specify "BLACK MOLDINGS" when ordering. This guy ships from Utah, he sells a great product and ships very fast.

Looks out of place on the truck though. Why not just get the color matched for 25.00 more on the nice Silver truck

I did not choose the painted option as I feared the paint would not match not too mention, the crazy intense south Florida sun would no doubt fade that door molding in a very short time. I've seen several vehicles with color matched options / accessories down here and that non-factory sprayed paint on rubbed pieces just does not hold up.

Hi s2kshock I like the look of your truck with bodyside molding on lower door section; I ordered that Dawn Enterprize set for my 2015 access cab, but they cut it and designed it to be mounted on middle of door, how did you make it work on lower portion of door? I had to return the set received because angle of cuts at door edge was wrong? any ideas appreciated. John

When my molding arrived, the directions said to mount it high on the door above the indentation, I thought this looked stupid, so I mounted it below the indentation like it was on my 2009 Tacoma, I think it looks much better where I have placed it. I had no problems putting it below the indentation, it just is a closer (tighter) fit.
