Just go to the recycling center on Duarte and Myrtle/Peck. You can drive on the scale and the read out is on a little sign next to it. It is next to the carwash

 

I've thought about that many many times and it's often crowded inside, I don't want to end up doing an Austin Powers 50 point turn with the trailer just to get out lmao

Can anyone confirm the 2nd gen doesn't use an actual gasket for the oil pan and just some RTV?

I stripped the threads on the pan bolt and now have a slight leak. I've changed the oil every 5k for as long as I've had the truck and feel like an idiot. Plugs, MAF, and TB are done though.

Autozone couldn't get me a new pan until Tuesday night so I'm getting a used one off of an engine from CalMini hopefully tomorrow.

 

Still need to do the cmc damn tires rub a lot.
I think it's time to start a build thread. Next mod will probably be a tube bumper.

That sucks you didn't just strip out the oil bolt? Get a new oem bolt and washer from Toyota too. I only reuse mine a few times and you don't need much torque. Be careful with the bolts from the pan to the block. Very little torque. Fyi. I've been in your spot before.

This is when I can tell a truck is paid off, lol. The money still goes into the truck.

 

No, I removed the bolt and saw that it looked stripped, but it was actually the threads from the pan. I'll pick up a few bolts but chances are Cal Mini will get the pan faster than Toyota can get me the bolt. I'm actually going to call Autozone right now and see if they can get me the pan any sooner.

 

The oil drain bolts and washer should be an in stock item.

 

That's what I thought until I had to "special order" the washers...
This is the same dealership that priced me $175 per u bolt...I looked at his computer and he had a completely different part.

FYI, I couldn't find anything about a 2ng gen using a gasket...only RTV so I ordered a tube of that as well.

 

Fumoto Valve solves it all. No plug to remove ever!

 

I originally looked at those when I first got the truck but thought I read that it will hang lower than my AllPro skid. That definitely looks like it wont.

Yea. They have one without the nipple too so it's smaller. I have the all pro ifs skid and don't even come close to the skid.
