They aren't too bad if you stay with a Ford. At least that's what the Ford dealer does here....decent trade in.

Time tells about these new tacoma's. I still have my 94 with 460,000 on the odometer. I have to say driving my new 16 I can sure see the time warp.

Pictures? Condition overall? If it's still fully serviceable I'm jelly.

    I'd actually prefer a 'new' '94 to a '16. Both in size and gee-wizardry.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
22RE? I never heard of a 3.0 V6 going that long but the old 22RE was tough to kill. It's the engine that put Toyota on the map and the reason our trucks are so valuable today.

The 3.0 was a piece of shit w/bad head/cooling design, pretty under powered, a decent running 22r could give it more than a run for it's money if not just beating it all together...

The 20R , 22R, & 22RE were the engines & design that threw toyota out in front for a long time & gave it it's legendary reliability as mentioned, every other toyota model has been chasing it ever since...

I agree, the 3.0 was gutless, real bad mileage, and really not worth putting money into. That 94 I have does have the 2.4re 4x4 extended cab with the 5 speed. Not real pretty anymore and it has piston slap but I can not blow it up. I did put a new head on it at 350,000. I use it to go back and forth to work. A lot of dirt roads in ID.
