I'm ordering one as the original Ultragauge was a great tool. I liked it better than the Scanguage.
I'll test this one out on our company service truck.

I have it and run it on our Company Chevy 2500. So far it seems that they are improving the app and setting up better gauges. You can adjust color and displays.
It reads the help codes and looks up what they relate to.
I still like the old cable model. Its hard to be driving and checking your phone for gauge details like MPG.
    The app has potential.

Is it real time or does it lag? I have an older phone that I don't use anymore and toyed with the idea of mounting the old on the dash and having everything wireless.

What specific lag are you referring to? It seems there are few gauges which one could notice lag if it was happening....like RPM and Speed.

I was just curious if the readouts were delayed going to the phone over bluetooth, or if they were fairly instant like the original ultra gauge. Probably a bad comparison, but we had a bluetooth meat thermomiter and what was displayed on the phone was always 5-10 seconds behind what was displayed on the thermometer.

Delay is less than a second. Nothing noticeable

It looks cool but i like my hardwire one. id hate switching back and forth from grabbing my phone and going to my gauges. but very cool. Not bad if you have a extra Iphone or something laying around that you could leave connected in the truck

I like the wired one as well. Very simple information at a glance. It's always on on start up.

Does this show a outside air temp? I have a 2015 pro and it doesn't have the air temp in the mirror;(. Also is it capable of showing transmission temp?

It shows transition temp on my Chevy but the Tacoma does not have a sensor for the tranny temp.
It can read ambient intake temperature but it's not as accurate as a outside temp sensor

There are entire threads dedicated to reading transmission temperature on Tacoma's. There must be a sensor otherwise what are all these Tacoma users reading?

Ambient Air and outside Air are the same.
Data is read from the OBDII port and displayed. So the data is as accurate as the ECU provides.

The Tacoma has over temp sensor for the tranny but not a sensor that monitors the temp.

The ECU can only read the intake temperature witch car rise over ambient air due to being within the engine bay. The overhead temp gauge has a direct sensor by the front of the grill so engine heat does not skew it.

I was wondering about the trans temp monitoring with the new Blue and found this post on the UltraGauge Blue support forum.

***For UltraGauge Blue, the Toyota Tacoma Transmission Temp gauge can be downloaded directly to your app. Once the VIN for your vehicle has been saved on the Vehicle Info screen, you can go to the Custom Gauges screen and select the Cloud download icon (2nd from the right on the bottom of the screen). This should pull down the codes, which can then be verified against your vehicle. In some cases, the PIDs (gauges) may have changed based on the Control Units used by Toyota. If there are any issues with the above, please file a trouble ticket at the link below so we can work directly with you***

Sounds like it might be there. The interface on the phone looks pretty sweet, and will likely only get better with updates. It might be a good option of you have an old phone with a good screen or maybe a small tablet that has bluetooth capability you can dedicate to the system.

It says it supports iOS 8 or newer, Android 3.0 or newer. It says it supports bluetooth 4.1, and backwards compatible to 2.0, but lag speed will be greater the older you go.

I'm thinking about picking one up.

I received my Ultragauge Blue and have successfully paired it to my iPhone. Where do I get the app for the iPhone? I've searched the Apple app store, and did not find anything for Ultragauge. There isn't a link printed on the box, other than the ultra-gauge.com website, and I didn't find any links there either. Thanks for any help.
