Took full advantage of the rain today and played in some mud.
Did like Kaleo and went "smash da skinny pedal" to make it up some slimy hills. Good fun!

I thought the entire perimeter of oahu was fished out by now, awesome catch!

Don't worry Neil, I still waiting for catch mine one too. So far, largest is only 5 lbs

 

Your day will come went to a spot that no one can go unless you the owner of the land beautifully up kept by the ohana a Kapu system couldn't pass up the invite this place still get Opihi half dollar size and lobster malts all over the beach only place I seen was back home on Maui and lanai only took couple to eat. Brah U trying to join the 10lb club I praying for be in the 100+ club but idk what worse cause when I was fishing my other friends were telling me about a pile of shibi down by trax buoy probably gonna go check it out if the weather gets a little better can't beat fresh shibi poke sash

 

wow, I knew Oahu was fished out, but I didn't realize it was that fished out. I heard the same from several other people too... I thought they were just going to junk spots. hahaha! but, I think it's really sad when I see people posting pics of small papio's that they're keeping (not here, but FB and IG). I mean, I realize that it might be a big deal that someone catches a papio, but why not let um go and let um grow? on BI, we throw back everything. snap one pic, throw um back, maybe catch um again later. easier to go dive and pick exactly what you like take home </rant>

 

I know exactly how u feel most of the time they look under 10 inches on some fb posts

 

Nope they stopped making them a while ago heard that if you slice a piece and give it to a cat and if the cat smell em and run away suppose to get cig not sure if true never did get sick yet knock on wood

 

As ideal it is to be able to catch something, I enjoy the fact that I'm at the beach doing something I enjoy. Going home empty handed isn't all that bad, if I'm able to hook something small and let my son reel it it, then release it, is better than catching something. Always happy to see he had fun and was able to catch a fish.

Still want to do a Kaena overnight one weekend. Wheel to a good spot, fish, enjoy the night. And for those who no fish, can always wheel, chill, wheel some more, relax at night, then wheel out in the morning.

 

Can and should... just waiting on my plates so I can register the 4R... then we should go..

We go to this spot I went can fish wheel and surf whip China box a pig
