    Someone asked "why such a short life span" for our best friends. I've given that same question alot of thought over the years and about the only answer I can come up with is...their deaths teach us humility. Believe in whatever-whoever you want but I believe their purpose on this earth is to teach us love and humility and to remind us in humility, that none of us will live forever. I've got the remains of my last three cremated and at the head of my bed so when my time comes they will go with me in the box in my final resting place. All I can think to say at these very sad times is "thank you" to my creator for allowing me to learn and to love his creatures...Don't mean to sound preachy but maybe it will give those of you who have recently lost your best friend to find some solace and closure to their passing.

    I am thankful to be blessed with six more (5 are rescues) and I will give them the best I got....
