I always wished the Tacoma rear window was like the Tundra where the entire window is power up/down, similar to a T4R.

Yeah I hear you, I recently ordered an ARE with windoors for my '16 Tacoma. Hopefully I will have it installed in the next week or two. This will reduce our tent requirement from 2 to 1 as I plan to set it up for sleeping.

A little pricey if I recall it was about $130 per windoor but I agree that it makes a world of difference in ease of use and practicality.

I was going to get one of those, but I was worried about people breaking in. Is there a locking mechanism for this?

Its just like any Jeep top, there's no locking mechanism and a simple knife cut opens up all your goodies to a thief. I just dont keep valuables in the back.

Yea can but it is very expensive. To get them added on to a new shell will cost roughly $150-$200 per side but to add them to a used shell without windoors will be astronomical. I talked to a local dealer and he quoted me at $400 a side or something like that!!! o_O So by the time I would by a used shell for $500, have it painted for $500, then add two windoors $800.... I may as well get a new one for $2100 and have it professionally installed and warrantied. Just my $0.02

Having windoors is worth every penny for me though. I use the side doors just as much as the rear door.
