ok so i live with my 64 year old grandma, just me and her. she's an RN and is always working because her ex husband (not my real grandpa) stole her identity and charged up all her credit cards and took a second mortgage out on the house. not to mention his drug use and alcohol abuse. he also steals things to pawn them off for money then blames them on me. well i finally got him to leave the house back in 06, they had been divorced since 1993 but he had told her if she made him leave the house he'd burn it down with her in it.

anyway, he was at the house when i came home yesterday, mommaw said he had just came to get some stuff. well i came home tonight from the theory of a deadman, cavo, and daughtry concert to find a note saying he was moving back in and that she loved him. ive always told her that if he moved back in i was out. they are also sleeping together. an act she cussed me for because i slept with my gf who im not married to in the same bed at the beach, well they arent married now so isnt she doing the same thing??

well, guess im moving out now. dont know where im going but i refuse to be in the house as him. she pretty much chose him over her own blood. pretty sad. plus she had the nerve to do it in a note and not to my face. guess i gotta find a place to live now :( just sucks, sorry to vent for so long

Sorry to hear that, Brett. Hopefully things will turn green for you. Tell him to take a hike... Or you WILL put a restraining order on him between you and your grandma

thanks guys. thing for me is i know she is going to regret this decision, but yet she chose him over her own grandson. its christmas time and instead of looking for gifts im looking for a place to live. i refuse to live in that house with him. i have brand new tools, laptop, and i dont want him near them when im not around.

plus the last time we met he woke up to a baseball bat in his face telling him to get outta my grandma's house or id have the undertaker remove him. we've both exchanged death threats since

That sucks man and I feel for you. I hope everything works out for you, really do.

I indirectly experienced the same thing through my wife. My wife is 20 (Im 21) and her mom is in her 50's. Throughout my wifes entire life, her mom has put her children first and making sure everything is as good as can be. Her family was poor growing up so the best she could do was attention. In any case, over the past few years her mom has been seeing this guy who completely has her brainwashed and completely changed the mom she used to be. She once "almost" caught my wife and I having sex (back when we werent married) and yelled at us for it and now she had this guy move in and is doing the same thing despite preaching otherwise. On top of that she blows off my wifes bday, refuses to spend any time with any of her children, and when her older daughter (my wifes older sister) saved up money to buy flight tickets for her whole family to come down and see her mom, her mom decides to take off for the week with her boyfriend and blow the visiting family off.

Unfortunately people change, and what sucks is that one day your grandma will realize that the guy is a complete ass and all you did was genuinely care, and by that time itll be too late.

wow man sorry to hear that you guys are going through it too. this is not the first time she has chosen him over family and wont be the last. i know she'll regret it, only a matter of time...too bad i gotta be the one to suffer. i mean thats my grandma, i love her almost as much as my mother and to see her pick a man over me just kills me.

yea. my wife constantly struggles to understand as to why one would pick some random dude over someone who was in your womb or your own blood. No matter how much you "try" to understand though, you never can. Its just a new state of mind that seems impossible for us to get into.

Im not saying your some crazy ass dude whos gonna do some stupid stuff but when situations get heated, actions sometimes become sporadic. Just be careful and watch yourself and your actions, you dont wanna make anything worse.

oh i havent said or done anything now or yesterday and im not going to. things got heated back in 06 when he refused to leave and said he'd take us all out before he left this house. he went and got a hatchet out of the basement, i met him at the steps with the shotgun. then he went to sleep and i woke him up with the bat and said to leave. that was the last time ive spoke to him and im not going to anymore

ay man good luck to your brother i hope everything works out for u in the end... Our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings. (JFK) i came across this quote when someone i tried helping that i knew for almost 8 years decided to steal money from and not give back the money that was owed to me.... Nothing bothered me more than being stabbed straight in the back by someone that u put u full trust into... obviously she wasnt family but i kinda understand when one moment everything is coo then the next it shoots to shit... I guess what im trying to say is dont let this put u in a choke hold where u gotta tapout but fight and do what u need to do in life for u and no one else... i hope that made sense...??
