Looking to pick up a AR Pistol. Any suggestions? Pretty much just a truck gun. I want to stick with a pistol chambered in 5.56 along with a 10.5'' barrel.

You could have just got the feed ramps cut by adco or civtactical!

No, the barrel doesn't have ramps as it's an older 20". That would require a barrel extension change. Not worth it, and not needed, especially on a 20" barrel.

True I was thinking upper. You can get the upper cut if you have m4 ramps on the barrel. My bad.

I'm still trying to get my hands on a knights Long FF RAS to build this mk12 clone.

Yeah, they've gotten pricey. I noticed there are non-free float M5's out there that are built by a new contractor, maybe they'll do the same for the FF tubes.

Knights is still making the long RAS just in limited quantities and for authorized distributors only. I contacted Kevin from High Caliber Sales about the matter and that's what he told me. They're the guys that built all the weapons for The Lone Survivor, and I forget the other guys name but he used to work for Crane building the actual mk12 and mk18's for the Navy. They're the real deal, and they even have a hard time getting the rail.

Here is my latest project. AR-15 pistol. Built from an 80% lower.

7.5" barrel, KX3 muzzle brake, Magpul sights/foregrip/pistol grip/10-10 mag, Odinworks Keymod rail, Streamlight TLR-2 w/pressure switch, KAK Shockwave brace, QD endplate.

My next project is a lightweight AR-15. Aiming for under 6 lbs unloaded.

Gonna go hunting with my 6.8 build tomorrow AM for whitetail, I currently have SSA 110 accubond, Federal fusion MSR 115 grain, and remington core lokt 115 bonded PSP.

Of those options what's my best bet for deer hunting? The shot will likely be within 50 yards.

I can't believe people are getting away with these "braces". That thing looks like a profile view of an old M93B stock. Lol

Hey don't rain on our parade. SBRs are illegal in California. This is the best we can do. It's hard enough since one can no longer buy an off-the-shelp AR pistol. We have to build them out of 80% lowers.

That is why I built my AR-15 Pistol. Luckily I moved to state that allows SBR's now, just waiting on my stamp to arrive now.

I really wanted to build a Mod 0, even though I truly loath ARMS crap, but I can't bring myself to building one with the Pri reproduction parts either. So...yep just pre-ordered an FF RAS myself. Mod 1 it is. And hey, they're expected in tomorrow.

Also, I just discovered that Compass Lake is within driving distance. Sweet.

ARMS must be retarded. No one uses them anymore, so why not bring that Mod 0 rail back and actually make some money?

Getting ready to build my first AR-15, what are some suggestions for a barrel? I want a heavy barrel, mid gas with 1:7 twist. Goal for this AR is all purpose and to be rugged.

I purchased a PSA upper and put in a BCM charging handle paired with an off-brand BCG, went to test fire it but i noticed i was getting alot of failure to feed. Any of you guys have a clue why i am getting this failures. I saw a few rounds and it seems like it was getting pinche as if the round was not getting fed all the way but i dont know what might be the issue.
