    I had a similar problem when I had the LR UCA, but I thought it was a design problem on their end. They said it only affected a small production in 2012, then they resolved it. The washer was rotating with the bushings, it wore through my washer halfway. It also put additional stress onto the UCA, cracking it at the weld. Sorry, I didn't think if it when I heard your clunk, because mine was making a squeaking, metal on metal noise.
