hey guys just wondering what size tire I could put on a stock 15x6 wheel? I have a 3in lift kit, just not sure if I want to go 33's! Also would I need a bigger width wheel if I did go 33's? Thanks for the help!!

If you look at a tire maufs web page, find tire specs, it will show the min. / nominal / max. wheel width for a specific sized tire.

Using that, you can find where the 6" is the nominal (recommended) wheel for a tire, and that will show the size.

I'll guess around a 235 will be about it, and that's when you are using a min. width.

    Like shown here.

Believe the 3 spoke alloys and steel wheels were both 15x7. 11.5" is as wide as you really want to go but people have gotten away with 12.5 but experience uneven tire wear.

6 or 5 lug? If 5 and 15x7, that might make a nice change for my '13 base. Hmmmm.

Do they look like this? They should also have T15YJJ stamped on them. If so, they are 15x7.

I just put some 33x10.50s on my stock aluminum wheels on my '97 like what's pictured above. Believe they're 15x7s and they look fine

pretty sure he has these ones, in which case this guy has 31x10.5x15 with a 2" lift

Think I could do 31x10.5 with no lift?
Or should I just buy new wheels and go 33x12.5 with a 3" lift?

you could probably get away with it, I'm not 100% sure on the differences from 95-97 and the 98+.

If you're already set on lifting then get the bigger, just keep in mind your gears will need redone. going from a 29" to 33" will be drastic

edit: oops, just re-read and you already have a lift. you could do 33x10.5 at most on those rims

Id go 32-11.5-15. Or 33-10.5-15. Both will fit stock rim and fit with or without a lift with the pinch weld mod.
